I have one of those stands and think they are fantastic. I found it easier to put the pin/cup in the stand rather than put them in the bike before hand. A blob of grease stops them falling out too.

I can cast iron guarantee that paddock stands used alone are inherently unstable in direct comparison. The breeze block, 'placed' on the rear pad, (notice I cleverly didn't recommend 'hurling' it at the back of the bike, ;) ) would do no damage at all, it was a mere suggestion IF you do not have a front lift / scissor jack or trolley jack, blah
Re paddock stands, you go right ahead and strip your bike to it's frame with your bike on them, check chain with wheel not under tension etc ;) good luck!

Good stuff, with the swingarm removal kit attached to the footpeg mounting points you can strip everything leaving the frame standing on the stand till last.
Is this a restoration, will you be doing video progress and uploading it? i'd be interested in following if so.

Thanks for the vid! I have bought the stand to my Ducati and will strip the bike down completely.

Thanks nice demo and information. Looks like a better alternative to front/rear wheel stands for a few reasons, safety, usability, storability. I'm in the US, so I'm going to try to find this product if it's available. Great bike btw, love the Green/Blue paint.

      Glad it was useful.
You can check for stockists in the US or the possibility of shipping by contacting Abba directly.

I haven't used a conventional paddock stand since I got this, (aside from the single sided specialist 916 rear stand for quick basic chain lube type maintenance)
The thing I like about this is the fact that you can strip an entire bike down to a frame and swingarm on conventional adapters and if you use the swingarm removal kit, (well worth buying with your fitting kit for your bike), you can strip a bike completely leaving the frame on the stand, the swingarm removal kit also means you can fit it to any bike with bolt on footpeg hangers, so any modern machine and pretty much every sports bike since the early eighties, it's incredible and I have no affiliation with Abba stands, I'm genuinely that impressed and enthusiastic about them.
      Good luck searching

Anyone know if they make one that works with a 2009 Kawasaki Er6n, or 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 650r? This particular model doesn't seem to be listed as compatible for my bile on their official website. Even if there is any other brand anyone knows of that builds a similar one that is compatible would be nice. (I'd greatly appreciate any advice at all, thanks in advance)

Queef Micester If the ER6N has pivot points for the swingarm there will be suitable adapter pegs, the ninja 650r will be a sports style? In which case definitely.
I'd measure the pivot point hole sizes ID and OD and contact Abba and ask, they'll be able to pair some suitable ones.
That aside you would be able to use the swingarm removal kit on both as that bolts to the footpeg hanger bolt holes.
