Thank you Cole and Joy, You hit it on the head for me, that how can I hide it, not smell like it, when does the store open...… the story of my life. But I am changing it right now, as Joy said one day at a time

I love when you speak about addiction recovery! I save them all on a playlist so I can have them to listen to again anytime. I am glad you went back to address the idea of "I deserve" and putting alcohol, drugs . . . on a pedestal/"treat". When you were speaking of "fancy (alcohol) drinks" I was thinking about there isn't a "fancy drunk". My addiction is food and in particular sugar. I have realized a pattern for myself and struggling to break it. What you have shared here I found very helpful and plan to apply them to my struggle with this crazy pattern that I no longer need, but just keep repeating because "it has just been what I do for so long". Things have changed, but my pattern is stuck. At least I recognize it- that is a big step. Thank you.

    Thank you, guys!
I felt like i was right there on the couch with you. the way you filmed this was perfect. so intimate! thanks for sharing some of the things that helped you.
i totally get that 'deserved' part. Like if you get through a hard day at work. or if it's the weekend. or since it's a sunny day. and really, why would i 'deserve' to mess up my health? for me, yoga is an addiction. but it's at least something that will help me feel better in the long run.

Loved the references to tool boxes and being ready for the "hook." So easy to find myself, even after 18 years of sobriety, "switching seats on the Titanic."(using something else addictively, like food, etc.). Needed this chat. Thanks!

And so glad you didn't edit out the "f" it. Sometimes we all need to just say "f" it. 😁

Kombucha in wine glasses! Love that concept as a tool in recovery.

You mentioned the disconnect with the self that happens with substance use. I would love to know your thoughts on the use of Ayahuasca, Ketamine, and other psychedelics -(in a controlled setting i.e. with a shaman, or other trained individual)- as an aid in the healing process? Studies have shown there is tremendous healing potential with these methods but they're shunned by our largely 12 step based treatment system (even though Bill Wilson was a huge proponent of LSD; he felt it brought him closer to our higher power)

Thanks so much for your beautiful amazing wisdom ladies! I am also in recovery and feel fueled to move with life, rather than beating against its current; thanks to yoga! Hari Om! and namaste

The bubbles have an effect on the same part of the brain where addictive substances such as cocaine has! #imfunatparties thought you wanted to know :)
