    I’m really glad you did this set-up with the little bit cheaper upgrades. As much as I want to put a complete Navitas and big Lithium on my DS I really can’t make myself justify spending about $5k more on my cart! This setup is perfect and will save me a ton of $! Great set of video’s on this DS build, I have really enjoyed watching them..

    one thing to note on these older series carts is that the motors seize on the shaft about 50% of the time and its much harder to remove and forget about re-using the old motor if that happens. also upgrading a series cart that uses a mechanical forward and reverse switch is asking for trouble. those things melt down on stock carts, we even had a customer a long time ago loose his cart because it melted so badly it caught on fire. so keep that in mind when pushing many more amps through those

    I recently put an alltrax xct 400 speed controller and plum quick bandit motor on a 1996 club car ds. Will do 21mph on flat surface but loses power on hills. Is there a way to adjust the controller to make it have more low end and less top end? Better yet more low end and maintain top end.... Or is this a gear ratio issue I need to address? Thanks in advance!!

Just sent in my motor to plum quick for the Bandit upgrade. Hoping this will get me the 22-25 mph the say. Thoughts with the navitas? Should I upgrade the solenoid as well? Yeah, love this series! Shows how you can build up the build for people on a budget. Can do it one step at a time. Batteries, controller, then motor.
    Do you think with a 600amp controller, you will see a little more speed? Also, I would like to see what a gear change will do to it speed wise, even if you don't like it and keep it on the cart, it would show the difference and allow people to make an educated decision on whether it would be worth the investment or not.
    One last thing, with the controller, does the software of the all Trax allow to adjust parameters for when size and gear ratios?

    • @Fentertainment
      @Fentertainment  Рік тому

      I need to dive back into the controller settings but Im having to borrow a laptop to do so because I have Apple MacBooks with out a usb port. The larger diameter tires would change the gearing setup and give it a little more speed but Im not planning on going up with this cart.

    • @goldenlife9856
      @goldenlife9856 Рік тому

      Just so you know changing gears is about $600 for the 8:1 which is the next available gear size from the 12:1 that's in them from the factory. Your going to loose a lot of torque so if you live in a area with varied terrain you might wanna reconsider. Money wise, if you did everything in this video and included gears you would be money ahead doing the AC conversion and change out the batteries later. Just my opinion.......
