I'm sure something will come along that needs a good B&S engine so it's not a total loss. I've rolled the dice on machines before and came up with Snake Eyes too!!

Could you remove the transmission and make it a pusher? The deck is nice. You could put the smaller wheels on the front. I appreciate the effort you take I wish I had a neighbor like you, would be having too much fun.

      Sounds like good idea. Thanks

It would make a good candidate for a engine for something else. Maybe a self propel with a bad engine??? I've made a bunch of Frankenmowers out of good engines on non -working self propelled machines.

I agree. 163cc briggs with a 1in/25mm crank. Should fit on a toro recycler assuming the bolt is the correct size.

At least you have a engine. Those things happen.

You think you could swap in a trans and axle from another brand junk mower?

My Yardforce is working. Already had warranty work on the small spring that broke on the SP feature. After 7 months it broke again. The Mower is a champ for me but he little $2.00 spring is a deal breaker. The Warranty company really deals hard with owner and repair dealer for documentation. Parts are hard to get. Looking at local repair shops and online parts/hardware to fix. The quality of the metal in the spring is the problem. Innovate adapt and overcome!

Similar model - yard force. My plastic pully got worn and came off the shaft, but was still up inside the plastic belt guard. But I can't get the plastic belt guard off. How do you remove the "washer" that the blade bolts onto? Thanks,

Personally. I would pull the trans and all self propelled parts and sell it as a pusher. That trans looks like it was junk from the start

The more I think about it, with that shaft being so loose. That trans should be covered in grease. Oil etc… makes me wonder if it was never filled from the factory. Quality control is a thing of the past

@@dirtyberniesgarage1194These worm drive gearboxes usually use liquid hypoid gear oil like differentials use. It leaks out fairly easily and fries the transmissions. At least the old Toro Recycler transmissions use grease and cheaply replacable bushings. The gears in those never fail, it's the slop in the bushings that allows the gear to move away from the pinion.

I just seen a video of the spring mine has the pulley and spring I am thinking the belt came off the motor pulley but the wheel is the least of the worries

I dont pay much for mowers for that reason. Your not doing a thorough inspection beforehand so the buyer takes the risk, so the offer price goes lower. Also without a bag i would not go over $20.
