Dont know what to do, have the same issue however. 30min into playing, after the restore was done, game freezes, ps3 switches off, switches on and starts restoring AGAIN!!!! Think my hdd drive might be broken

Before anyone tries it, always make a backup of your games. I had a corrupted file installed and when i did this it failed and it asked me to format the hdd. Usually it will fix your corrupted data but there is a small chance that it will fail and you will need to format hdd, so make a backup in first place.

About 2 days ago my brother was on a game and then it says it was overheating and it made a really loud noise, he gets off the game and shuts down the PS3, it was still making that loud noise so our dad pulled the plug on the wall, next time we go on the PS3 it comes up with the thing to recover lost data after it is clicked it says “Restoring… Do not turn off the system” but every time it gets to 48-49 percent the screen goes black and then it comes on again with the same question to recover data, it only gives one option “click X” we are all too scared to click anything else, we are very fond of our game progress, what should I do? 😰

Did you format your USB to FAT32?

you must be using a third party controller. safe mode can only be used with the official sony controllers with wire ONLY

if your controller is not connecting then you are not using an official sony controller
