2004 Corsa Design auto 1.4 petrol. 64000 miles. Third owner, first was BSM driving school. Have owned it twelve years. Never missed a beat. Time for oil change so looked up KwikFit expecting about £60. Shocked by £116.95 so checked Halfords. £113!
This is May 2021. Four litres semi synthetic oil from Tesco, £20. Oil filter from Halfords, £3.89.
Was a bit of a faff as my trolley Jack needs a service. Worth it for the saving (and I’m 84 with a heart pacemaker).

Yup, always prime the oil filter... if you have the paper element type, find a suitable container to put it in then pour the oil down through the hole of the filter and let it soak through...

Good day, thank you for all the informative videos, you’re doing a good job at educating people like myself. I have a problem with my windscreen cleaner. The water isn’t coming out. Does it mean something could be stuck in the pipes that is coming from the water bottle to the windscreen water disperser? Or could it be just a faulty fuse? I hope you can help, thanks in advance

Thank you so much for your videos....I'm leaning alot...I own the same 1.4 like that one
I have a problem, recently I see some oil on the engine..is not that much cause even if the car is packed for 3 days I don't find oil on the floor. This other guy says it's some rubber seal on the right side where those spark plug cables go to connect...can that be true?

Black oil does not necessarily mean it's bad !
It just shows it's doing what it's supposed to do.
New oil in diesels turns black in a very short time.

Hi, I have a problem with my car it's the same engine as yours.
My timing belt wore out, so I went to buy a new belt and fitted it and checked my timing marks to make sure then I cranked it but the belt keeps moving inwards and my car won't start now I really don't know what to do. What would you suggest I do?

It's just a preference to give you more space and to work safely. Especially for someone who has never done this before.
