I have a theory on that a GAME THEORY! So anyway if your a hardcore batman fan then you know in one of the comics Scarecrow turns into the Scarebeast a Scarecrow like monster that is Jonathon cranes fear toxin hallucinations but it's all in reality so maybe Scarecrow is just Using the Fear toxin to hide the transformation and to make his opponents a little more Scared and the Reason why Scarecrow gets bigger sometimes is because the fear toxin is making the opponent think he's turning bigger but in reality he's just swinging the opponent around or just standing over the defeated opponent. BUT THAT'S JUST A THEORY! A GAME THEORY! thanks for reading

Scarecrow really has been a top tier character since launch. The crazy melee range, mixups, block pressure, setups, and best of all, the look of his gear is top grade.
There could be an argument made for him being top 10 but not top 5. His pressure when he gets in is incredibly
oppressive but his counter is characters with good zoning and there’s plenty of them in injustice 2.
@@morbidtoaster8615 as a main who got his legendary gear, I can say that I usually struggled way more against zoners. There are ways to face them and I’d usually win the matches but mostly because they weren’t that skilled with that specific zoner. I lost most of those hard counter matches against good zoners.
Scarecrow was always mid tier. Arguably Low tier at launch bc he didn't have an invincible wakeup.
@@eshaanbasu9342 i’d say mid tier, and anyway if used well he can definitely beat top tier characters (just as most characters independently of their “tier”, with some struggling more than others)

Oh MAN, watching Whiteboi play this character back in the day was awesome. The tick throw setups, stagger pressure, and CROSS UPS were DIRTY with this character.

@@mechaedward8003 a tactic that involves using an attack that is positive in terms of Frame Data, then proceeding to throw the opponent with a regular, command, or 0 frame ultra grab. In other words, you use an attack that is very hard to punish and follow up with a command grab or throw.

Seeing a crumple effect in a Netherrealm game is so weird, they feel super rare in them.

They are. Even things like hard knockdowns are very rare. Anything that leaves your opponent wide open is a very OP tool to have in an NRS game

@@morbidtoaster8615 I was thinking it was false bc there have been a lot of chars who haven't been nerfed, but I completely forgot about that change. However Im not sure if I would include that as a nerf bc they didn't nerf the damage his trait did overall, just the amount per tick and the rate of ticks. I remember they said they changed it so his trait wouldn't be an auto win at low health but it was still an auto win at low health lol. Ig it was still a nerf bc the intention was to make fighting him easier even if it didn't rlly accomplish that goal.
Scarecrow is my favorite character in the game, he's so fun I wish he'd be in injustice 3 but I highly doubt he will sadly. But I've come up with some gigantic combos using back ground bounces and the corner and meter and trait all in that still lead to set ups, it's absolutely insane

More terrifying moves:
- Jump 3 for nasty cross ups into D1 command grab on hit and block
- Jump 2 has deceiving range, great for catching air mobile characters and zoners
- MB Fear-Ferno can be delayed to catch eager punishers
- BF2, underrated move, builds traits and does nice chip damage, also can be held for a selected duration to again catch eager punishers, is punishable if successfully blocked though

Best Injustice 2 character IMO. Looks amazing, even better than the one from Arkham Asylum. He has some crazy moves. And I also like the fact that we're not seeing the real Scarecrow, but instead what his victims see with fear gas. Everything about this thing is glorious.

deadshot got nerfed 'cause of his cannon shot was super fast on the screen and on the recuperation
Scarecrow was definitely my favorite character and his tier placement is always funny to me because he is a mid to high mid character but once he got you in the corner he jumped to near top 5.
Another thing to mention is Scarecrow’s killer juggle potential, his normals are active briefly and recover very quickly, allowing him to juggle opponents for very long before connecting an all mid string. It’s crazy
His 1-1 also combos insane, only when trait is active tho

Blackfire for Injustice 3.
Take Starfire’s kit from Injustice 2, but replace the zoning elements with a hyper-aggressive offense style to fit Blackfire’s anger.

Love Scarecrow design on this game and that command grab was done beautifully especially with it sound effect I just hate that he get counter hard with zoners.
Scarecrow was dope, not just for his kit strength but also his character design. The fact that his entire character is based on fear toxin experience is cool

If you are a jobber on her side, you'll constantly get beat by heroes; if you are a fan-favourite against her, she is on the hunt for you (looking at Baraka, Mileena, and Scorpion); you will not get the chance to permanently damage/end her (she kills Mileena but Shao could not kill her in MK11. she betrays Kotal in MKX and possibly nearly kills him in MK11 but she is inexplicably left alive by Jade and Kotal after the former defeats her. she defeats Scorpion-or Hanzo-at least twice, the first of which was brief and her main objective was to reach Quan Chi, which she did by momentarily stopping Hanzo by stabbing him in the shoulder I believe, and the second encounter ended in Hanzo's death, and while it was more of a "past sins would distract you" surprise attack bullshit, she did kill him nonetheless. but then, she escapes Scorpion's wrath and is nowhere to be seen. she loses her stingers, but one of them was already sliced in MKX, and appearantly, it grew back by MK11), she can do no wrong (successfully betrayed Kotal Kahn and did her part to free Shinnok, successfully helped all villians escape the combined might of many heroes-even of Raiden's, who could kill all of her insects in the blink of an eye in MKX, a feat Scorpion repeated in MK11), and even if she were unsuccessful, it still had beneficial outcomes (during the time merger in MK11, she revealed the location of the Tarkatans this led to Kotal's capture and Sheeva's initial refusal to join forces with Kitana. she couldn't cripple Kharon yet killed Hanzo, and if it not for Kronika's idiocy, the heroes may have fallen apart due to Raiden's anger and frustration. even if Raiden and Liu Kang were not pitted against one another after Raiden's darker side was revealed, there would be a rift, they would be working as allies, not friends, in the final fight/fights, which may have been exploited by any semi-clever being).
From a character perspective, design-wise, plausibility of her story, intimidation etc. she is not decent, and I doubt many fans like her.
From a writing perspective, she is shown to be quite capable to take on many heavy hitters in MK, and also shown to not suffer repurcussions when doing, well, anything.
Thus, she is as terrifying as they come.

This game came out like 5 years ago and just like 5 months ago I i found Robert englund- Freddy is the voice of scarecrow
Not sure if anyone else mentioned it but his down back 2 eats some projectiles
Command grab moves where you press 3 directional buttons then a face button are the toughest for me to do 🥵
Just keep practicing. You'll eventually pull it off.
If MK12 comes out, Scarecrow would be a perfect "guest" character.

I also main this character and i feel like he is underrated and Whiteboi is amazing to watch. I also named my fish after him. Oh and i feel like you should have brought up his DB3, i think that move is also really good

I was gonna main Scarecrow back when I played I2 in high-school (I just thought he looked fucking sick), but I always hated that command grab input and settled on Batman and Atrocitus lol
I always found the most horrifying character in a fighting game was Kusaregedo from the Samurai Showdown series. He was a more brutal cannibal than Mileena.

Whats funny is that he's got bane damage but there's a unlockable ability to make his hook moves do more damage that is funny as hell well if your not playing competitive cause competitive disables ability so
now a lot of people cause tournament was the only mode that mattered but scarecrow with legendary gear was fucking broken, after building your special(your 4), with the cost of a bar you can swap the opponents moves and they can't jump allowing you to just combo people even more after wards
O wish scarecrow had a gear move that just throw up a jump scare on the other players screen kinda useless online but it would be hilarious

Scarecrow was scary in Asylum, was a convincing, albeit a bit too wordy, archvillain in Knight and in Injustice 2 he's A BEAST.
