Not 'maybe' but DO! I stopped giving to the second collection wherever the Pope is concerned, such as St Peter's Chair collection. We are in a spiritual battle between the traditional/conservative versus the modern/progressive Catholics as prophesized by Venerable Lucia of Fatima, "The final or decisive battle between the Kingdom of God and Satan will be over marriage and family." I was in this battle 16 years ago where God intervened through our Blessed Mother to save my marriage. Pray for Pope Francis to return to our Catholic faith and tradition to save souls and not be distracted with saving the planet instead.

We have had some bad popes in the past whose moral lives and actions have fallen short of the ideal Christian life. However, we have never had a pope who wants to make the Catholic Church just one protestant sect. Bergoglio has been a disaster for the Church. I am not going to discuss my complete academic background ,but state for the record that I have an undergraduate degree in history and hold a theological degree from a pontifical university. The Problem with this video is that it is SO DECONTECTUALIZED that, from the few lines you have provided, we have almost no idea about who he was referring to, except that they were: “[some] conservative bishops in the United States”. I doubt I am reading this wrong, but you seem to be broadening his statement to mean “[ALL] conservative bishops in the United States”, which is a very dangerous statement for YOU to make. Yes, as a media outlet, you are making a STATEMENT when you choose to report a story in a particular light. Unfortunately, this pope does not have a good track record when it comes to public speaking and isn’t always clear about what he says. Maybe he just isn’t good at communication. Maybe he doesn’t have a very good grasp of the English language. Maybe his interpreters don’t do a good job (for those times when he uses them)… I’ll also admit, personally I am not a big fan of how he lets his personal beliefs (which seem to sometimes skirt the edge of the Catholic faith or maybe even cross the line) influence the way he guides the Church. However, I try to remain cognizant of the following facts: 1) There are various levels of authority that the pope/(bishops) exercises, from offhand comments during conversations or interviews, to letters, to statements, to more formal documents, to conciliar documents to dogmatic statements. Many of these we (Catholics) can ignore (do not have to adhere to). 2) When I watch a video or news story I am only getting a tiny snippet of information about what happened at a particular event. That snippet of information is the one that the ones who provided it most wanted me to hear. If I had actually attended that event or watched that entire interview myself or listened to the interview in the original/native language then I would have a more accurate and an UNTAINTED understanding of the facts. 3) We have had MANY bishops and popes in the past that have been…less than ideal. But that doesn’t matter a bit. It is God, The Holy Spirit, that gives life to the Church, has guided us to The Truth (because He is The Truth) and has and will carry it through until the end of time. ---------------- ❗️Now, put on your seatbelt because I’m going to step on my soapbox for about 2 seconds, and you (Fr. Pavone) will want to hear this: As you know, we sometimes refer to God in His transcendental nature: God is [the] Good, God is Mercy, God is Justice, God is Truth, God is Love. It’s not right saying “ I don’t care if he’s the Pope. He Ain’t Jesus!? “. This in itself is so wrong. The Pope is the Vicar of Christ. We should ALWAYS pray for the Pope. He and all priests represent Jesus Christ. Mary , Our Holy Mother spoke that to a mystic , a woman that Mary had appeared to in Medjugorie. She told us that Mary said that we should always respect priests, because they represent Jesus, and to pray for them. Another mystic priest told us that Mary SAID that we should pray for Pope Francis, and that we should not say bad things about him. If we are strong in Christ and we trust in Him, and believe in the Catholic values and tradition of the Mass and its liturgy we will be fine. Whether it be the Traditional Catholic Mass or the Novus Ordo Mass , the new Mass, which IS approved by the Catholic Church and totally valid. The Novus Ordo Mass should not be considered a lesser Mass, which it seems to be by some Catholics. Of course the Mass should follow the liturgy of the Mass as approved and not stray to unorthodox ways of saying the Catholic Mass, as has been seen in some videos that is disrespectful of Our Lord God. In my understanding as a Catholic, the Catholic Church is traditionally conservative. There seems to be confusion in the word conservative. It does not mean terrorist, cult like or dangerous. God didn't call us to be conservative, which is political, but orthodox. Orthodox = follow Jesus and the truths of the church. Conservative can bash everyone who doesn't see things their way. It is not your job to bash and judge God's people.

That the mass is not in Latin is not the usual criticism of the _Novus Ordo._ No, though many traditional Catholics hold that Latin, Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew have special power over the devil and therefore prefer mass to be said in one of these languages, which by the way includes the Last Supper, that is usually held to be a secondary point. The criticism is more usually that NO masses are often in practice not sufficiently reverential to the Real Presence, that it has lead to many liturgical abuses, to the point of blasphemous "clown masses", that it has been a part of the desolation of the Church, that many NO sacraments skip or water down prayers of exorcism, including during the mass, including during the blessing of holy water, including the extremely important exorcisms in the traditional rite of baptism sealing the senses of the baptised against the influence of demons. Is it any surprise then that exorcists are busier than they have been since the fall of Paganism? That now a majority of the current generation believe in the power of the occult, despite being the most irreligious generation in recorded history? You might think demons don't really exist, that they are some sort of metaphor or psychological manifestation. I would say that is precisely the problem. That we defer to the world on spiritual matters. Which is an inversion of the rightly ordered as ordained by Jesus Christ himself and the apostolate he founded. That disbelief in the reality of demons is a modern secular view, not a Catholic one, at odds with Holy Scripture and the Deposit of Faith. At odd with the mission of Jesus and the apostles who before they were martyred preached the Good News about the Kingdom of God, healed the sick, *and drove out demons.* If you disbelief that then why believe in the Resurrection and Life Everlasting, why bother at all?

But if you are or have a serious interest, for the Love of Christ get yourself the _Catechism of St Pius X_ or the _Baltimore Catechism_ and read it. We are in a spiritual battle between the traditional/conservative versus the modern/progressive Catholics as prophesized by Venerable Lucia of Fatima, "The final or decisive battle between the Kingdom of God and Satan will be over marriage and family." I was in this battle 16 years ago where God intervened through our Blessed Mother to save my marriage. We have had some bad popes in the past whose moral lives and actions have fallen short of the ideal Christian life. I am not going to discuss my complete academic background ,but state for the record that I have an undergraduate degree in history and hold a theological degree from a pontifical university. A crisis of salvation can truly be defined when a Catholic has to choose between "the Pope" and Jesus Christ. But obviously, there is no choice.
Priests, those who claim Pope Francis teaches heresy and error, are themselves ignorant of Catholic teaching and Canon Law and Holy Scripture! As lies were told of Jesus Christ at His trial, so too even now of Pope Francis by modern day elders! The Problem with this video is that it is SO DECONTECTUALIZED that, from the few lines you have provided, we have almost no idea about who he was referring to, except that they were: “[some] conservative bishops in the United States”.
I doubt I am reading this wrong, but you seem to be broadening his statement to mean “[ALL] conservative bishops in the United States”, which is a very dangerous statement for YOU to make. Yes, as a media outlet, you are making a STATEMENT when you choose to report a story in a particular light.
Unfortunately, this pope does not have a good track record when it comes to public speaking and isn’t always clear about what he says. Maybe he just isn’t good at communication. Maybe he doesn’t have a very good grasp of the English language. Maybe his interpreters don’t do a good job (for those times when he uses them)…
I’ll also admit, personally I am not a big fan of how he lets his personal beliefs (which seem to sometimes skirt the edge of the Catholic faith or maybe even cross the line) influence the way he guides the Church. However, I try to remain cognizant of the following facts:
1) There are various levels of authority that the pope/(bishops) exercises, from offhand comments during conversations or interviews, to letters, to statements, to more formal documents, to conciliar documents to dogmatic statements. Many of these we (Catholics) can ignore (do not have to adhere to).
2) When I watch a video or news story I am only getting a tiny snippet of information about what happened at a particular event. That snippet of information is the one that the ones who provided it most wanted me to hear. If I had actually attended that event or watched that entire interview myself or listened to the interview in the original/native language then I would have a more accurate and an UNTAINTED understanding of the facts.
3) We have had MANY bishops and popes in the past that have been…less than ideal. But that doesn’t matter a bit. It is God, The Holy Spirit, that gives life to the Church, has guided us to The Truth (because He is The Truth) and has and will carry it through until the end of time.

❗️Now, put on your seatbelt because I’m going to step on my soapbox for about 2 seconds, and you (Fr. Pavone) will want to hear this:
As you know, we sometimes refer to God in His transcendental nature: God is [the] Good, God is Mercy, God is Justice, God is Truth, God is Love. We recall that Jesus referred to Himself as The Way, The Truth and The Life.
We also know from scripture that Satan is called, among other things, “the father of lies”.
🛑I caution you Fr. Pavone, I encourage you, please🙏 , before you film and post a video, that you pray that The Lord will reveal Himself in Truth. Then listen to Him and wait for Him to tell you what to report. That way you won’t be reporting anything based on what bothers you about the pope, but will “Speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15). Here’s the full verse: “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ”

It’s not right saying “ I don’t care if he’s the Pope. He Ain’t Jesus!? “. This in itself is so wrong. The Pope is the Vicar of Christ. We should ALWAYS pray for the Pope. He and all priests represent Jesus Christ. Mary , Our Holy Mother spoke that to a mystic , a woman that Mary had appeared to in Medjugorie. She told us that Mary said that we should always respect priests, because they represent Jesus, and to pray for them. Another mystic priest told us that Mary SAID that we should pray for Pope Francis, and that we should not say bad things about him.
If we are strong in Christ and we trust in Him, and believe in the Catholic values and tradition of the Mass and its liturgy we will be fine. Whether it be the Traditional Catholic Mass or the Novus Ordo Mass , the new Mass, which IS approved by the Catholic Church and totally valid. The Novus Ordo Mass should not be considered a lesser Mass, which it seems to be by some Catholics. Of course the Mass should follow the liturgy of the Mass as approved and not stray to unorthodox ways of saying the Catholic Mass, as has been seen in some videos that is disrespectful of Our Lord God. In my understanding as a Catholic, the Catholic Church is traditionally conservative. There seems to be confusion in the word conservative. It does not mean terrorist, cult like or dangerous. These are newly assigned meanings to the word conservative. We need to pray for people that do believe that, or are propagating that message to this country and the world. Let us continue as soldiers of Christ in the Body of Christ, the Church, especially at this time of the Eucharistic Revival and pilgrimages from all parts of this country that is happening now, SO amazingly. Many people are coming to know Christ. We had Baptisms in our church, babies and youths and adults. Several priests were ordained in our diocese. Let’s focus on the good, the enduring love of Jesus Christ and the Holy Eucharist. Let us also practice humility as Christ has taught us, and pray for each other, and for the conversion of sinners. Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful , and kindle in them the fire of your love. Amen.
Jesus' Gospel is love, mercy and compassion. Our God loves obedience over and above anything else.

God didn't call us to be conservative, which is political, but orthodox. Orthodox = follow Jesus and the truths of the church. Conservative can bash everyone who doesn't see things their way. It is not your job to bash and judge God's people.
This video has brought about nothing but negativity. It is not for us to judge. Stay steadfast in Christ. When the scribes and Pharisees brought Mary Magdalene to Jesus and said, Master this woman was taken in adultery. Moses in the law commanded us that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
Jesus said to them, he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. John.8
Where it matters, Pope Francis is solid. I don’t care about his opinions on migrants or climate change; those are his opinions, and he is entitled to them. He is absolutely right about Jesus and theology. That’s what matters.
Sadly, many Catholic Christians claim the Latin Mass is the only valid Mass, which of course would then exclude the Last Supper, also not said in Latin! Extreme Conservatives are indeed modern day elders, whose pride does not allow them to submit to God given authority! That the mass is not in Latin is not the usual criticism of the _Novus Ordo._ No, though many traditional Catholics hold that Latin, Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew have special power over the devil and therefore prefer mass to be said in one of these languages, which by the way includes the Last Supper, that is usually held to be a secondary point.
The criticism is more usually that NO masses are often in practice not sufficiently reverential to the Real Presence, that it has lead to many liturgical abuses, to the point of blasphemous "clown masses", that it has been a part of the desolation of the Church, that many NO sacraments skip or water down prayers of exorcism, including during the mass, including during the blessing of holy water, including the extremely important exorcisms in the traditional rite of baptism sealing the senses of the baptised against the influence of demons.
Is it any surprise then that exorcists are busier than they have been since the fall of Paganism? That now a majority of the current generation believe in the power of the occult, despite being the most irreligious generation in recorded history?
You might think demons don't really exist, that they are some sort of metaphor or psychological manifestation.
I would say that is precisely the problem. That we defer to the world on spiritual matters. Which is an inversion of the rightly ordered as ordained by Jesus Christ himself and the apostolate he founded.
That disbelief in the reality of demons is a modern secular view, not a Catholic one, at odds with Holy Scripture and the Deposit of Faith. At odd with the mission of Jesus and the apostles who before they were martyred preached the Good News about the Kingdom of God, healed the sick, *and drove out demons.*
If you disbelief that then why believe in the Resurrection and Life Everlasting, why bother at all?

Stunning lack of knowledge of what Catholics actually believe. If you are Catholic, well don't feel you are necessarily to blame, there's been a crisis in Catechism for fifty years. But if you are or have a serious interest, for the Love of Christ get yourself the _Catechism of St Pius X_ or the _Baltimore Catechism_ and read it.
Because "dogma" in Catholicism is the points of faith that may never change change. Such as Jesus rose bodily from the dead, etc.
For the Holy Father to use the term so loosely and disparagingly is extremely alarming.
