@@BPMDevelopments extended....at first I thought it was just the cheap ones I had with the spacers....but,on hard cornering I watched in horror as 3 snapped off ! And they were not alloy either. A friend of mine who works as an engineer in the RAF said that the physics behind it is that with studs the energy is deeper inside the stem of the thread....I trusted him and now throw it into corners in confidence. Great build,I enjoyed the whole budget thing....I believe you can do great things on a budget and be smug afterwards because the results are good enough for us Joe ordinary guys ,and we can run with the big dogs usually with the wallet still plump.. I went for a set of Oranjee studs that stick out a fair bit....but for what ever the physics is,I never had anything snap after. I have read a few things about studs over bolts.....studs do seem to be favoured especially on extreme camber front end set ups. Just passing on my experience,s...other R53 pilots might say I'm talking bollox.lol....
Jesus mate that’s not ideal at all! We will definitely be looking to get them done sooner rather than later then! Did the 1 bolt hold the wheel on still at least? Yeah it’s interesting to see how well some of the budget stuff actually performs well! As we all know there is a case of paying for the name of things which I get is justified in a lot of cases! But there’s some equally good stuff you can still get enjoyment out of! Cheers for passing that on mate we appreciate it!
@@BPMDevelopments I had to get a recovery....but it just about held.....all in all I snapped about six before moving to studs....I was pushing hard for sure,but alarmed at how easy I snapped them.....the spacers were 11mm, not super cheap floating shims but hubcentric sleeve fit...I don't think I over torqued them either, ....I'm just passing on my experience in case it happens to anyone else, prevention over affect.
Change the front discs and callipers to r56 at least as the std ones will only last 3 laps before they fade trust me. 330mm discs and 4 pot are amazing

I went for a stud conversation in the end as I kept snapping bolts running 11mm spacers.

Yeah that will be an upgrade we will be doing eventually! Either that or the Megane brembo’s!
