The tailoring on this, the S shield, the boots, the head sculpt, I feel like they just nailed everything about this figure and I hope they do more. Also, stay tuned, because I just got a Tyler Hoechlin head sculpt and I plan to turn my new Mezco Superman into the first appearance one from S&L.

Thank you! Haha, yeah my other one is like that, and I've noticed that other people's have that same issue. Initially I put sewing pins in either end and pinned it to a cutting mat, but that was mainly just to hold it steady, it didn't really out up a fight when trying to lay it flat.
Awesome custom man, I had thoughts of doing this to mine and then my Mezco one charged, so I'll see how they did and decide from there. I agree that this 3rd party Supes is one of, if not the best 1/12 Superman out right now.

Pardon the pun but another Super video! I love what you did with the figure, the chest emblem in particular looks so much better and I love the way you created it. The belt looks better and the cape much more flattering and shows off the figure better. As usual, very impressed. I love Christopher Reeve and he is Superman. He was born to play the part and he ended up being a true Superman in real life. Bless him. I think the first 3 films are wonderful but unfortunately The Quest for Peace for me is poor and only watchable because of CR. The special effects were one thing that spoilt it. Even so, I still have the film in my collection. Look forward to watching more of your videos and the best of luck with everything you do.
Thanks so much, my friend! It’s funny, I am a rare defender of The Quest For Peace! It’s my favorite of the four. I completely agree that the effects are awful, though, haha. But it’s a story about Clark coming to terms with giving up his family home, Superman coming to terms with using the last of the Kryptonian crystals and this severing the ties to his home world, and everyone at the daily planet losing their “home” to a speedy tabloid tycoon. There’s the incredible speech from Superman at the UN, and the cool fight on the moon. Plus a fun love triangle between Superman and Lois, Clark and Lacey Warfield. And Luthor in a penthouse where he belongs! Haha. Lots to love among the admittedly terrible production value. Also Reeve Al had a lot to do with the story, which to me, is why it’s got the best plot of any of the movies before it since. But I know I’m an outlier!
@@Ibrahim_M I think if the effects were more like those used in previous films then that would have helped. Admittedly I have only watched the film a handful of times whereas the other films I have watched maybe a 100 times each. I remember as a young child going to see Superman ll with my dad and being enthralled. My imagination was well and truly captured. I may have to watch number 4 again to see if I feel the same and possibly re-evaluate. CR was wonderful in every film and was perfect in an otherwise disappointing finale to the part. I respect your appreciation for the film but I’m also glad you agree on the dreadful special effects. Haha! Great to hear your analysis mate.

I know that part 4 was a canon film, and they were notorious for slashing budgets, and they mandated that effects were reused over and over in the movie to save money, which definitely hurt it overall. And nostalgia is certainly a factor; I watched 4 the most as a child for some reason, haha.
@@Ibrahim_M I think it’s all about eras and when you were born and that makes the difference in having personal favourite films or actors in certain films. Because of that CR, Keaton and Maguire as Spidey are my favourites in those 3 franchises. No one else compares to them in my humble opinion.. I’ll have to watch Superman lV again soon and see how I feel about it. It’s been many years since I last watched it. Apart from the crummy effects, I also seem to remember not liking Nuclear Man very much either. I suppose it not being a Salkind Production also had an adverse effect and that perfection wasn’t there. A great shame but I do respect your love of the film despite its flaws.
great work and video ,i used a mattel multiverse kingdom come superman head as a replacement ,look into it im sure you would like it for a even more realistic alex ross look

THere was a JSA version that DC-Direct put out that was easily the best Ross likeness, but I think it's too big for this one, and it's really expensive now. One day I'll digitally sculpt one and have it printed, haha
@@Ibrahim_M i dont know the dc direct one ,but the mattel one looks great and even matches to my 65 year old eyes very well with the existing skin tone which is a bonus for someone like me who can't paint worth a dam lol ,i wish there was a way to post a picture but check it out , id like to hear your opinion as to me the sculpt matches the realistic natural appearance of the body and costuming on this figure verses the hyper stylized look of mezco type figures
@@chrisdodd4035 Oh believe me as someone who paints these a lot, matching the skin tone is almost impossible and never looks correct! I think the thick neck on this body would compliment that Mattel head well. That was the only think about that original figure-- the neck was too skinny. I'll have to keep an eye out for a cheap one and try the swap!
