A mature adult can separate politics and friendship.
I can’t imagine being friends with Ted given my politics, but the fact that he’s friends with a lot of liberal rockers gives me hope that people can find common ground.
Has any good ever come from politics? Our forefathers gave us the best foundation of law to live under. Anything after Andrew Jackson’s time as President is completely useless and was put in place to serve the hidden power
People just need to realize that our upbringing, family, and socioeconomic status play a huge role in forming our political beliefs and that most of those things we had zero control over. Our country is getting so tribal that is scares me.

I’m sure most of what ted does on interviews is different than how he is normally, he’s a performer and puts on a show, that’s probably why they’re able to be friends

I'm still waiting on Phish, Motorhead, Judas Priest, Pat Benatar, Kings Crimson, Three Dog Night, the Turtles, Thin Lizzy, the James Gang, the Raspberries, the Jam, the Pixies, Jim Croce, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Weird Al Yankovic to get in there.

People are intellectually challenged if they can't have friends who have different political, religious or aesthetic preferences. How shallow can someone be to shun a person who is different from themselves? Howard's intolerance is pathetic.

Totally cool, we need to find ways to find common ground between folks who on the surface seem opposite. It’s gotten way too easy to discard other humans because of politics and beliefs.

Really what your asking for is the Popular Music Hall of Fame. The term rock n roll gives is what gives it the energy it needs to attract ppl though. But what is or isn't rock n roll can be debated endlessly, like any other genre.
I loathe Uncle Ted's politics, but I really like his music. He's the only person that I can separate the art from the artist. Stranglehold is incredible! One of my top 10 classic rock songs of all-time.
He likes women, freedom, hunting, his guitar heros are mostly black guitarists. He doesn't drink or do drugs. He donates lots of food every year.
