On the court with Dave Cowens are Paul Silas (#35), John Havlicek (#17), JoJo White (#10) and Charlie Scott (#11), Don Nelson (#19). As a lifelong Celtics fan, I just loved the energy of those days.
Just a fantastic and intelligent player and was an underated center...He played with hustle, heart and played his hardest till the end...Dave Cowens was player who wasn't afraid of anything and just go after the ball and did what he had to do to help his team win...Hall famer, two time nba 🏆 champion, MVP(1973), 8-time all star, 3-Time all defensive and 50th/75th greatest players...Great player
Dave left it all on the court. Saw him battle my heroes Willis,Kareem. He made up in hustle for any talent shortcomings. Respect for how he played the game.
How is this style of play NOT successful in ANY era? Sound fundamentals, tremendous rebounding and second to NONE effort/motor will always be timeless basketball qualities.
