Love your videos man, they really help me out when im feeling low. I've recently purchased a helle nordlys and have been using it as my primary knife for a little while. It's a fantastic knife I think is worth you checking out if you happen apon one. It would be awesome if you could do a video on the sentimentality of knives. Why certain knives are more sentimental to you vs others. For me my scandinavian/finnish knives are more sentimental, mostly because that's my primary heritage and I have a few of my grandfathers old knives from the area. Knives pick up a lot of character during a person's life, unique mark of the person. They are a very personal tool, each with its own story. They can also become addictive for many lol

Sounds like you feel the same way that I do about old knives. I will make the video, probably indoors in a couple of months when it is too dark to film outdoors easily.
As for the Nordlys it looks like a fantastic knife, but is a bit out of my price range. I do have a Helle Uvaer blade blank which is awaiting a handle. Which is another thing that can add some sentimental value to a knife, when you make it yourself. Even if it has been handmade by somebody else. It's kind of like the more time they spend in hands adds something to the spirit of the knife.
Sounds weird, I guess I have a while to work out how to explain that better.
Thank you much for the support and for the suggestion.

A class axe mate! Nice that it'll be unique as well as a Gransfors! That hickory looks a bugger to work!

It's so hard and splitty. Just like mahogany from what I remember. Not worked with anything other than birch and pine for years.
      Thanks for watching mate.

I'm rehandling a hatchet at the mo. Think it's a framing hatchet.
Also just sharpened up the Hults Bruk woodcutter's axe. I'm behind on the firewood and it's getting colder by the day!

Are you going to do a video too? Makes a change from knives once in a while.
Can you believe I don't have a fire in my house? It would save so much money. Council property, so I can't do anything about it.
      Thanks for stopping by mate.

@@KuukkeliBushcraft I think I may have to do a Comparative Study of Axes video. I've got a nice wee array here.
Funnily I can believe that you don't have a fire in your home. When I lived in NE Thailand I didn't have an air-conditioner in my hut. If I wanted to cool down I had to go out for a bike ride, in order to catch the breeze.
Now if you want to warm up you have to go outside and into the woods in order to build a fire.
Like we say in Thailand, Same Same But Different ;D
