I know they say some of the walls and ceilings are magnetic so you could put magnetic hooks on a ceiling and put some nice sheer curtains to divide the living room from the bedroom that would be kind of cool. Make it feel like a separate space.
Steve has a nice snore! I appreciate you sharing the room tours with us. I liked how the TV swung around to allow easy viewing from anywhere in the room. The balcony suite was nice but there is so much to do within a few steps of any of the rooms. Like a hotel room they are meant mainly for sleep. Just getting on the ship in any room would be a blessing for most. 🙂
Oooh thank you for showing the rooms in detail. Can’t wait to see what you’ve done with yours. You have to move again?? That’s a bit of a nightmare 😱, especially if you have already decorated it the way you liked. I love the balcony suite but it costs a bomb!
I have a question, someone I know (a visitor/family member) when staying keeps their tv our guest room very loud at all hours of the night..they stay up late, are hard of hearing and often fall asleep with the tv on. When I cruise I know the walls are not very well insulated…..have you had any noise issues, I assume there are similar rules to living in a condo …to be aware of and respectful of your neighbors but you know that doesn’t always happen. It would be good if those tv’s also words with headphones or AirPods…just saying.
Thanks for the tour, that 2nd one was huge. The other cabins I've seen are kinda small, very livable but maybe just a tad small. Thank you also for removing that background music you had, this was much nicer IMO...and a really great hook at the end, well done.
Yes, small but since that is what we can afford, we will make due. You should see our backyard!! Hee hee We have ours all set up and decorated, so that video is coming very soon.
Cruising is not for everyone. I do need at least a window. I see the cabin as a bedroom and the rest of the ship as my house as long as no one cares if I walk around in my PJs and robe to get coffee in the morning on deck.
I can understand the higher costs for the cabin purchase, but Im confused as to why the monthly fees are so much higher for the bigger cabin. Surely a per person rate should be the same across the board....
I can understand it. For example, if I only had to find a higher cash figure though my monthly fee was going to be the same for an inside as a balcony, you can bet I would scrape together every penny to buy that balcony or suite. As would most other people. There would have been a surplus of insides and outsides. Anyway, regardless of what anyone thinks, a lot of calculations will have been done around the numbers, I’m sure, and it is what it is. Everything in life is a choice that we are lucky enough to make ourselves 😊
Yes, but if the monthly fee is for the consumption of goods and services on the boat (after all, you've already purchased your cabin), then surely everybody will be (more or less) the same.
Yes, they have to make money. But it sounds like the occupants of the bigger rooms are subsidising those with the smaller rooms. $3500 pm / per couple v $9000 pm / per couple is a big difference for essentially consuming the same amount of 'stuff'
Oooohhh, they may have gone up then. Demand is high it seems. The most cost effective is for a solo, interior room. Those prices were, (if you bought the lowest deck and an interior) you would pay $2500 maintenance fee for an inside. $9000 is A LOT!
Not really if you think what cruises cost. It’s $108k per year. There is a gentleman called Mario who cruises on Royal Caribbean full time. I believe in an inside and of course he’s not cruising the world. He has to switch ships sometimes too and I want to say he’s spending $80k+ a year.
I get it...keep in mind you don't have to pay for all the extras like on other cruises. WiFi is included, laundry is done fore you, 2 drinks at lunch and dinner (beer/wine), sodas and coffees included, gratuities included... we wanted to try on other ships, but this worked out less expensive for us. Hope this works out!! Eeeeekkkk!!!
