@@rebeccahowell6538 it is an older, smaller ship that is being refurbished. Villa owners are free to decorate their staterooms to suit their tastes and preferences.
My wife and I were privileged to do a cruise on this ship in 2002 when it was with Orient Lines! Beautiful ship and the food was incredible! We were cruising with lots of rich Americans, very nice people! We also cruised the sister ship Marco Polo after, very sad as it's now gone to cruise ship heaven! Also a wonderful ship! The food was incredible!
I travelled on it when it was the Braemar. I thought it was a great ship, a big advantage being that it can get into the smaller destinations that the big ships cannot.
Doesn't matter if the room is small with no windows because the whole ship is your living room. Yeah but I don't share my living room with hundreds of other people. That's all of the privacy you're gonna get for years unless you quit thiis experience and attempt to rent out your cabin.
Is it going to be refurbished some of it looks a bit rough ? Are there any other amenities being added doesn’t seem to be much todo for a a couple of weeks never mind 15 years .
Yes, refurbishments are planned to keep everything in top condition. We're also adding more amenities, like a golf simulator with an onboard PGA pro. Don’t forget our extended port stays, offering more time to explore each destination. We also have plenty of community engagement activities to keep you connected and entertained throughout your journey.
If they ever get to cruise, why didn't they do everything to it before selling the cabins? What happens when the money runs out? I can't see this ending well
All very Beautiful as she says......But how long will it last ? If you pay for three years and the ship goes bust, what do you ger back ? Old ship, high bunker coasts, port fees etc etc. And three years in a small cabin, all sounds too much !!
Thank you for the tour. My husband and I have been discussing world tours since we retired four years ago. I must admit that the idea is intriguing but we think that breaking it up into smaller manageable portions would suit us best. Do residents or the parent company rent out villa’s for shorter durations such as 3-4 months?
Yes, residents rent out their villas for shorter periods, and this Facebook group with almost 1,000 members is available: facebook.com/groups/436962875414467. However, please note that it is an unofficial Villa Vie Facebook group, so be sure to do your due diligence. Verify the person you rent from actually owns a unit.
We are reired and have Medicare Part A and Part B, will it enough to cover the bill in-case we get sick on-board the ship including prescription drugs?
Years ago my father and I were on cruise in the Caribbean. He fell ill and had to visit the medical center. It was cash only. After arriving home, I went online to research Medicare reimbursement and filed a claim myself to recoup some of cost of the visit. I don’t have all the steps involved, but as a novice I was able to figure it out. Also, see if there is a such a thing as medical insurance while traveling the world, or at least catastrophic insurance to cover life flights for emergencies. Hope this helps.
I believe that VVR recommends travel health insurance for all its residents. Considering the age of many of the residents, I feel fairly certain that there is a way to coordinate your medications. They do provide you with a mailing address in Miami that in turn delivers the mail to the ship residents every 6 weeks. You can also arrange delivers to most of the ports the ship visits. For the most port, you can find good medical care and much less expensive medications in many of the countries the ship visits. In addition to medical care, dental care is available as well. I've been looking into this quite a bit as medical care is a top concern for me as well.
Hi Richard, we're so happy to hear that! Please reach out to our residential advisor Anne, at anne@villavieresidences.com - She would be more than happy to assist you with more information. Hope to see you onboard soon!
You definitely can! The new program was made and planned before Trump was elected as the new president. Our company is neutral and does not endorse any particular party.
NOTHING looks like the original renders lmao. I'd sue if I was promised a certain design but ended up getting a room that looks like a motel stuck in the 80s.
The transformation is beautiful! Anxious to see VV Odessey start its adventures.

I would encourage you to contact Villa Vie regarding what upgrades have been made and what modifications you are allowed to make to your stateroom.
Hoping the ship sets sail soon, and the residents and staff have an amazing time.

afternoon tea and midnight buffet would be a great additions
I look forward to joining this ship one day.

Damn I wish I could retire and spend my life travelling with my home. Looks very cozy!
A beautiful ship 😍 I'm looking forward to future videos and adventures. I would love to sail on a segment some day.
finalmente è partita la motonave! Bellissima
These videos are all well and good but when will you bloody set sail😮
Good news coming soon!
We just did😉
What an amazing job she's got.
Amazing job everyone! ❤
Simply amazing
The wife and I took a cruise when this ship was the crown dynasty, and owned by Cunard back in the 90s.😮
There are a lot of YT channels sprouting from this endeavor. So, how ever it goes, it will be well documented..
Wonderful tour thank you 😊 ❤

Looks great to me!

Very tempting to buy a cabin and get away from the UK
I don`t think it will `set sail `

If I was the owner of Villa Vie I'd have the interior cabins fitted 100" 8k televisions as a pretend window, live-streaming the actual exterior view.
Is this the one stucked in Belfast?
No longer! We onboarded passengers monday, and sailed away officially, today.
Can you please tell me why such a big difference in monthly fees for each cabins Thanks

Yes I was also wondering about medical and dentist
@@samfromvalleycenter4848 It is recommended that you have travel insurance. VV has a company that will provide coverage.,

How full is the ship at this time?
I’d be bored stiff after 2 hours on that 😅
IS the staff living on there forever as well
Is this mainly for our USA friends as I didn’t see it advertised in the uk.
will residents be able to get mail onbaord?
yes
Yes. Mail for residents will be sent from our office in Miami every 6 weeks.
When will maiden sailing start?
I didn't see the pools very clearly!
I thought inside rooms were supposed to have fake windows with views from outside cameras?
I wasn't very impressed with the ship!!
Is the spa and fitness classes included??
Spa is not but i think the gym is
Has it set sail yet?
Can I buy a ticket even though I voted for Trump?
You definitely can!
The new program was made and planned before Trump was elected as the new president. Our company is neutral and does not endorse any particular party.
Is the steam room and sauna included in the amenities, or is there a separate charge to use them?
Included.
I would want a microwave in my room because I don't like luke warm buffet food!

Why did you have to say Pringles and Gummy bears.. im booking on now!!
I'm planning on buying a cabin and calling it home. Will there be many singles, or is it mostly couples onboard?
i think mostly couples but there are some singles and im sure couples would not mind you joining them
We have a mix of both!
One of the other you tube channels broke this down it seems there are almost as many singles on board as coupe, and a normal mix of both men and women
