This song has really become one of my favourites after I watched the tour that they performed in Manheim. I would say the orchestra has done well to this song, though I admit I still prefer the clear vocal from James, clean riffs from James and Kirk, bass from Rob, and just drum to keep tempo from Lars, it sounds more haunting and gritty without orchestra imo. Still, it is something different, and Metallica always surprise ya..Cliff would totally love this that his brothers still here together after all these years, and he definitely approved of Rob being here with them; well, Rob still sticks with them all these years. 🤘🤘🤘
Absolutely Popo! One of my favs is Outlaw Torn also - Bleeding Me, Devil's Dance, and Hero. I'll probably go see the movie form of S&M2 if the tickets are not stupid. Considering that I've seen pretty much their whole setlist now to fans uploading, I figured our band would have done more of their newer album songs and created a couple new ones like they did with Human and No Leaf. Nonetheless, these gents have outdone their selves and have impressed the shit out of me for sure. One argument I have respectfully is that their experience tickets are ridiculously stupid high, @MetallicaTV #Metallica. Considering I'm a 4 time tour MetVet I have yet to meet them and would like to very much. One thing is for certain, this band is the all time greatest band due to their work, and should go down as such. Much love and respect for these four great metal gents!
@@Birdman74u Load is kinda underated album, I feel this album shows a side of broken James may I say, and I love it. Older albums were great too or even songs like One, Master, Things that should not be, Nothing else, Fade to Black, etc...I even like St.Anger, maybe it's just me. Some see it as shit, I see it as gold..hahaha. I already bought ticket to see it in theatre on 9th Oct, it should be much better with professional recorder 😄. Maybe those who were there would know best. And I will fly to Perth for their concert and have to scramble through crowd in gold circle (general admission) area cos' I assume there will be numbers of Slipknot fans too. Personally, not Slipknot fan cos I'm more into riffs, hidden meanings, songs' layers. It will be my first ever ever and ever concert after being a fan for over 20+ years. I spent AUD$200+ for this ticket and going in solo. I would most probably frame the wrist tag just so I can one day look back 😂😂😂. But yep, their enhance experience is crazy$$$$ and the Shortest Straw kinda sold out fast... I hope they play this song though love how chilling it sounds ...Wish they could do Medley of some albums like old days 👀..but odd chance.
@@panther7681 right on brother. Yeah I like some of Slipknot's songs but I'm with you on the reasons why liking Metallica. Their lyrics, meaning, and total art craft is what sets them apart from all the other bands. They're survivors of the progression and changes of music while keeping metal very alive. I may see them one or two more times before they're done, and hopefully get to meet them one day - for 2,500 bones, haha.
@@Birdman74u Well, brother, I wish your dream of meeting them does come true! You never know when your paths may cross.. I wish I get to meet them one day too, but I might be too star struck cos' they are like my childhood dream band I grew up listening to. Well, if I strike a lottery, that dream might come sooner..hahaha
Who is the world made the set list for S&M2?!?!? They played 11 of the songs from S&M1!!!! They should of have all new songs to play!! Metallica really missed a grand opportunity to make another amazing CD!!!
It's a celebration of the original so obviously they're playing some from the original, also they said they would only play song from original s&m and songs recorded after it. Also what you people don't seem to get is you just don't make orchestral compositions for any song, not everything simply works with the orchestra.
It was half the original and half new things. It was split up quite well. They were celebrating the anniversary of those shows after all. I thought they did a great job with it.
Nameless Ghoul Gamer I have multiple CDs of Metallica’s music played by orchestras, string quartets, piano, and even baby lullabies! Any music can be arranged to be played by any instrument!
The most underrated Metallica song... by far
Agreed!
