I built this while wintering in AZ. Shipped it home and it arrived in one piece except for re- glueing the roof..However it was too big for the spot selected on my layout. So ripped out scenery reversed the back drop board ,built a cliff and just now installing it! Live and learn is what model railroading is all about! Good video! Cheers
I really need to add one of those swing-arm magnifiers to my bench setup. Thanks for the kitbuild walkthrough! I learn something every time from watching someone else build a kit.
That's a very nice kit. I just completed the Atlas Lumber Yard and have 3 Roundhouse log cars to build. I also scratch built a lumber drying shed that came out nice. I really like the Walther's kits & hope I'll be able to find the one you're building to complete my logging scene. I still have to get an HO sawmill with a steam engine for power. Someone makes a kit for it. Cheers from eastern TN
@@w.rustylane5650 Thanks for watching! Walther’s makes great kits, but some of their instructions aren’t so good. These instructions were pretty good for a change!
With my sw mill, I have a really old cox sawmill which I have set up as my debarker and ironically the opening where the finished wood would have come out, lines up perfectly with the conveyor. This allows me to put a overhead crane at the debarker to unload the log cars. Farther down I put in a waste conveyor to a track so the wood chips can be loaded into ship cars and the dust goes to a pile for a loader to put into either hoppers or semi trailers. The covered sorting area also is the right dimensions for 4 tracks for loading finished lumber. A larger foot print but a lot of shunting of cars.

Yup. We model railroaders build the scenery to fit the buildings sometimes… Thanks for the comment!

Hi Reiner, haven't caught one of your videos in a while. Best wishes.
Thanks!

Sounds like a nice setup!
The one I got came with all plastic part loose on the tree.
That would be frustrating!
Dumb question- where do you get the syringes, and are they plastic or glass? Thank you for your time.
Plastic syringes, from Amazon.
