- Figg Panamera/JT The Bigga Figga stopped by Hot 1079 to chop it up with B High about his Trapflix Movement and movie "Dirt On My Boots". During the conversation Figg discusses working with Snoop Dogg, The Game, and Master P. As well as coming up in the Bay, how he was able to build wealth independently , and more.

I had more than a few conversations wit Fig when he 1st came to Atlanta. I watched him come up and he always rolled solo. A real hustla and a good dude to converse with. Fig always gonna get my support. Salute
Mandatory business........................... I wish he'd tell that story... We were shacked up in a spot off of 55th Ave. in East Oakland... Snoop had come to SF and did a few tracks with Fig. Fig put out the album. Then on the tail end and amidst the street hype... We was sittin' in the living room... It was about 2 graphic design people, couple other local rappers, some other minor staff... And he was like, we gonna create a tour and another compilation called "Mandatory Hyphy"... We gonna charge like $500 for a record placement on the compilation, and a spot on the tour. In 6 days, 30 acts bought in... My nigga had bands from that shit immediately. Then he got on the phone, called up his regional nightlife contacts and started booking dates to get the tour going. Then he came with the "Mandatory Business" magazine not so long after. This was 2006-2007 time. I'll never forget witnessing this nigga hustle live and direct.

@Ay Ay P knew more about the game before he met JT. Ppl forget No Limit Records was originally a retail store. P really learned the game from E-40 uncle. Damn near everybody in the Bay did. Ppl just try to discredit everything Master P did. Mfs don't know how hard it is to be independent and laying down all the groundwork.
@Ay Ay No doubt. P has always been about ownership. We all are a student of the game. I like JT. But, he have a ego like he invented the sh*t. P knew the beforehand what the consumers wanted by owning a record store. The Bay Area hustle, P being a outsiders he had to learn their whole lingo and everything over there. E-A-Ski, Saint Charles ( E40 Uncle ) & a bunch of cats embraced P before he blew. P just had a drive and crazy work ethic that's why he surpassed JT far as success go. That formula he showed P. That's cool. But, negotiating that 80/20 split deal was something historic and that promo would of meant nothing without that deal. I highly doubt we would got a NL album from 50 artists like that every other Tuesday. Master P also put his own money up.

ppl use to hate and say he was a snake stealing money from the artist. not true, the man had helped so many ppl. and since i was a kid whn i first met him, he has always been the same, always giving game to you no matter if he know you or not. now hehas made mistakes and got over a few times off artist but for the most part the man is solid
