I completely agree on that choice. Hysteria does it for me, love that 80’s soft rock melody, and it just makes me feel awesome and unstoppable as any great rock song should. Underrated classic of theirs if you ask me.
My favorite band. When you hear of lead singers getting full of themselves and go out on their own, it's cool to hear of a band that sticks together even with a one armed drummer. You've got to love that.
This guy is an inspiration to the world. Loses an arm, comes back an even better drummer and can paint!! He definitely represents what is possible if you don't give up- and what can happen when you have a huge support base.

•💟• These guys have become a favorite of mine more & more as time goes by. The nobility & honorability of them when they decided to stand by Rick after his accident was life altering for all of them & us. What a spectacular example of love, faith, strength, personal growth & God's grace. They all went through a lot, many times through the years, as have we all. Clearly, their integrity is admirable as far as their loyalty to one another as a band family. Hats off, in no small way to their wives & loved ones also. Families have it rough. May their sacrifices be richly rewarded by God Himself. No human on earth is perfect, these men are no exception, but they are none-the-less well deserving & loved Rock & Roll Royalty. Be Safe. Be Well. Be Good. Carry On. And Thank You for your contributions that have enriched our lives. May God continue to bless each of you, watch over, comfort, support & guide each of you as your journies continue to unfold. Amen. •💟• May I add my two cents and say, I have enjoyed so many of their songs, but I think maybe my favorite could be, "Two Steps Behind". •💟•

First & foremost, GREATEST DRUMMER EVER!!! Rick & I share the same favorite song & it's my favorite song of all songs, ever...period!!! I have seen them several times in my life. My 1st time was the Hysteria tour @ the NEC in Birmingham, England (the famous In-the-Round tour). I lived in Banbury, England & was stationed @ RAF Upper Heyford. I have always loved their story & the fact that they waited for him to adapt & overcome, to continue on with them!!! I love that he donates his artwork proceeds to Veterans, Thank-You Rick, on behalf of All Veterans!!! Signed, David Lovett USAF Desert Storm Veteran🇺🇸!!!
There is so much to say about this guy and all of it is great. Overcame impossible odds, a fantastic musician, a fantastic artist, and he actually has a favorite song from his own band. Musicians almost never tell people what their favorite is of their own work, they always deflect. But he was direct and honest and I love the choice. That is my favorite song too.
Wow; his artwork/TALENT is off the charts; this guy isn't a one trick pony, but a super, multi-talented artist. Me and a paint brush aren't friends, but I love his style.
Really good reporting on a great band. No over the top sensational nonsense, there's an appreciative attitude, good questions and chemistry between interviewer and interviewee. Well done!
I am an Official Fan of Rick Allen from 1986 when I started Listening to Def Lep.The Gorgeous & Sweet & Beautiful Lady who took the Interview is just is an Angel, sooo nicely spoken,so Kind & So Well Disciplined that I have became her Cherised Admirer.God Bless Both of the 2 Legends on this interview.
PHOTOGRAPH is the song that did it for me! When I first saw the video on MTV, I was hooked. They went on to become my all-time favorite band, even today! I simply adore them! They have displayed true friendship when Rick lost his arm! They didn’t throw him away. They kept him because they are not just friends! They are a family! Pure and simple! Best band ever! I am a fan until the day that I die. I want their music to be played at my memorial service! True artists! Peace.
Love and respect to Rick Allen for his determination and also to Def Leppard for standing by him. Not many bands would do that. Rick needs to paint himself for his “Legends” series! Awesome drummer and awesome drummer!
I had sepsis. I went through a lot. By watching this and other interviews with him. Has helping me cope when I almost died. I went through 7 surgeries in 6 weeks. I hope one day I can meet him personally. To this day I still struggle with my PTSD when fiancee died a couple years ago and my mom died after I got out of the hospital. Last 2 years not good for me. Mr Rick Allen is the best drummer of all time. He influence me in so many levels
Thank you for posting this. Thank you Mr. Rick Allen for doing this interview. I have always loved Del Leppard's Music, and look forward to the next time I can go to a concert.
A combination of the album Hysteria and Pyromania has been my workout playlist for 35 years. Hysteria was first, as it was 68 min long, and I could go through it twice and know I'd done at least 2 hrs. of a workout. Still is the majority of my playlist for workouts, and I still have the original cassette. When I heard about Rick's accident I was just getting acquainted with the band, and was hoping you guys could continue. I was so happy, especially after seeing Rick at the drums again, that you kept on. The album I think you guys got panned on was one of your best Slang. Never had a song make it to my play list, but it was a good album to drive back and forth to work with. I'm almost 57, and you guys make me so happy to see you still going strong. I just saw a painting by Rick that just blew me away on this vid. The angel in the middle of the buildings. Absolutely stunning. Keep it up guys.
Def Leppard was my first concert. I was 8 years old, in the front row at the Dane County Coliseum in Madison, WI back in '87. Seeing a one-armed drummer was the spark that inspired me to start playing the drums. 30-some years later, and I'm still playing...all thanks to Rick Allen.

Been a fan of his drumming since On through the night. Really tight playing on that album. Hard to believe he was so young at the time. Had he not lost his arm, he would have surely been considered one of the best in Rock today.
Rick was 21 years old when he lost his arm. Before too long, he’ll have lived twice as long without that arm as with. I never tire of hearing his story. As a synthesizer freak, I also adore his application of electronics technology to help him play complete beats. I can’t blame him for naming the *Hysteria* title track as his top pick. It’s almost more beautiful and haunting than “Live Bites” or “Two Steps Behind”.
He had to reinvent how to play the drums. I would love to see an entire song with just the camera on him because honestly, it's hard to figure out how he does what he does, because he sounds like a guy with four limbs.
I love how committed this band is to each other. That is so special and rare.
Really unheard about but Jason Andean and his band have been together for 20 years.
That’s one of the reason I have been a fan sense the beginning

I was in Monster of Rock, Castle Donnington, 1986. Incredible.
Youre one lucky person ! Man I wish to live during those golden days of music .
@@Reymysterio1276 Was exactly 20 then, I´m 55! But, I´m happy I lived the 80´s when young. Music, art..... it was beautiful. Had a great time.
I Love Def Leppard! This band has been around nearly my entire life. We went thru the hardships with them, as well as the good times!

Best wishes Rick Allen!!
I was so privileged to see him in concert!!! One arm or two ...He was Beyound Amazing!!!
He’s a true rock and roll hero!!
"Photograph" broke the band here in the U.S. I saw that video so many times by the early '90s and I still enjoy it now. As for Allen, I've always had mad respect for him. I didn't know he was also a painter.
@@lordracula2461There are definitely a lot of differences from country to country even with the same language. I enjoy stumbling upon them!
Lordracula Rick Allen said Broke himself. As a Brit I’ve heard the word used in that context countless times. You must only use the queen’s English?
Ewwwww nnnnno NOT PHOTOGRAPH!!!!! MY LOVELY HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA IT SHOULD REALLY SPELL OUT LOVE BITES U MUPPET U. HAHAHA HMMM!!!!! XX LOVES YAH
Lordracula they got broke out to the masses here in the US. Like you break out of jail. I broke out, last week. 🇬🇧😎🇺🇸

These guys have become a favorite of mine more & more as time goes by.
Amen.

May I add my two cents and say, I have enjoyed so many of their songs, but I think maybe my favorite could be, "Two Steps Behind".

I saw Def Leppard with my mom in 2002. We had very close seats with a side view and could see Rick drumming very closely. My mother was just fascinated by it. Talked about it for the longest time afterward. One of my favourite memories 💖

We love you Rick!
I've been a fan of this group since to 80's. Always so humble. Rick is an inspiration to all who have suffered a tragedy but gotten back up, smiled , and kicked ass!
Hysteria is also my favorite. What a beautiful music.

What a remarkable man! I didn't realize that he's such an accomplished artist as well.
What an amazing and talented person he is. Class act and mentally tougher than most of us.
Wow. Rick is really something else…. Love ya Rick…….
You can sense and feel the Honesty in his person and personality. This man have STRENGHT within him....
He is my favorite drummer he is so inspiring
Such an inspirational person. I love you Rick Allen
Well done!
I am an Official Fan of Rick Allen from 1986 when I started Listening to Def Lep.The Gorgeous & Sweet & Beautiful Lady who took the Interview is just is an Angel, sooo nicely spoken,so Kind & So Well Disciplined that I have became her Cherised Admirer.God Bless Both of the 2 Legends on this interview.
you gave a really good interview
One of my favorites bands.
Thanks for those greats songs. God bless them all.
Peace.
So good
Fucking phenomenal man so much respect 🤘
And that what makes this band crowds above the rest! Upmost respect for them
Love and respect to Rick Allen for his determination and also to Def Leppard for standing by him.
Awesome that is truly the description of true true friendship
Keep it up guys.
whitefam2000 Billy’s got a gun is a must have song for working out!
High and Dry easily is a harder rocking album of theirs. All of their songs are amazing. But high and dry makes workouts more pumped
Gregory Witt on through the night too
Hysteria is an amazing song. Even all these years later it gives me chills and takes me back to a really happy time in my life.
Same here
Rick Allen, absolutely we love you, we love Def Leppard, the greatest rock band
FANTASTIC Interview! LOVE LOVE LOVE you RICK!
Rick. Class act all the way.
Great drummer, great artist, great guy. Thanks Rick you are a true inspiration.🥁👍
Def Leppard was my first concert. I was 8 years old, in the front row at the Dane County Coliseum in Madison, WI back in '87. Seeing a one-armed drummer was the spark that inspired me to start playing the drums. 30-some years later, and I'm still playing...all thanks to Rick Allen.
always loved and love this band , theyre legendary
Rick Allen awesome guy!!!
Hysteria has been stuck in my head today 😎

He’s the coolest. We share the same favorite song of theirs. Love them and the way they stick together as a band of brothers.
I meet Rick a couple of times in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and he's a fantastic person..
I bet he is
Been a fan of his drumming since On through the night. Really tight playing on that album. Hard to believe he was so young at the time. Had he not lost his arm, he would have surely been considered one of the best in Rock today.
I think Rick Allen is an amazing person and drummer!
Def Leppard... the ultimate brotherhood... they are a FAMILY.
The man’s playing and surviving his accident are astonishing to me. I always see him as a hero to perple who are suffering and mention him
To them.
