With this R5, I feel the MOD Shop really missed an opportunity for a perfect instrument for a black headstock Stinger. Cool guitar, not sure how I feel about the all gold finish, I miss the natural back and sides, maybe a Dark-Back? I do like the black plastics, I've an R4 I often wonder about switching to the black plastics. LOL, at least with the black plastics you don't have to search everywhere to get the pickguard, poker chip and pickup covers to match (so many different shades/hues of cream).
@@hkguitar1984 yeah a black stinger would’ve taken this guitar to another level! I think the black plastics looks awesome, really works with the hue of gold they’ve used on this one aswell
About the Wrap-around stop bar tailpiece and intonation........... My experience with the wrap tailpiece and intonation has been pretty great (R4). I will say this though, the wrap tailpiece will start loosing intonation as soon as some of the strings start wearing (deformed string diameter from fret contact). This configuration seems much less tolerant to string wear than a tuneomatic style bridge. I find myself changing strings about 30% sooner than with my ABR-1 equipped Les Paul guitars.
The black plastics make it amazing
@@TheColton0117 agreed! It looks class
Beautiful guitar, beautiful playing!

Sexy Goldie LP and killer playing.
@@johnsmith-ug5tp thanks man!
I love the simplicity of wraparound bridges. No such thing as perfect intonation anyway.
@@lonegroover they’re less accurate, but they do look cool 👍
They make the strings feel waaay better too. Im a big fan.

The Music City Bridge wraparound solves everything. I swapped out the POS wraparound on my Gibson LP Jr.
