Depuis hier...Que fait-tu, blanche tourterelle (Virginie Verrez)

Roméo's mishcevious little page, Stéphano, looks for his lovestruck master, musing on the nature of love as he does so. His teasing melody may get him into trouble later on, but for now, he's caught up in the moment, enjoying the brief spotlight.
Virginie Verrez is perhaps the most adorable Stéphano yet to grace the stage. One part of many in a brilliant production by Bartlett Sher, Verrez does occasionally steal the scene (and certainly the hearts of the audience).

Of the many renditions of this aria that I've watched, this is,for me, definitely above all the rest. Great vocal agility and perception of the role and the score. Many who perform this have fantastic voices but it just isn't the same. My opinion, of course!
