I’m from the future as well. The Rival Phantom Corps. series is not being updated anymore, the Edge series still is, the classic red&blue Rival has stopped naming their blasters after Greek gods, and have begun using fighting terms like Takedown or Knockout. It is a grim future.

For a rival pistol, they should make it a revolver that can be rear loaded. Design it with a pull back prime. I think a rival cycloneshock would work well for a pistol. I really wanna see a rival uzi. That would be awesome

Now they need a REAL rival shotgun, the thing about the atlas is that it's spread isn't super wide and it only shoots 6 shots (six trigger pulls before empty). you could get higher capacity (shots) and less bulk out of an apollo. I want to see a shotgun with a spread of about 1 foot that shoots three or more bawlz at once!

There is no such thing as a sniper rifle. If you are sniping with it then it becomes one. I can snipe with a revolver. This is a antigun term to make bolt action rifles evil. It goes the same with an "assault rifle". I can assault you with a piece of plastic. Then will you call the plastic an "assault plastic" no you still call it plastic.
chandler millap outdoors The "Rifle" part refers to the inside of the barrel which has grooves that spin the bullet and in real steel terms make it more accurate, and I have looked down the barrel of a Nerf Modulus, and it has these groves, therefore making it a nerf Rifle

Not an opinion, just something else to add: Hasbro safety standards were designed for all the other lines directed at a younger target market. The Rival line has always been more directed at an older market, and they already shoot much harder than the Elite, Zombie Strike, ect. that we're used to. Maybe the standards of safety aren't applied to the Rival line? And the longer barrel will hinder accuracy, but given what you said that on modified blasters it doesn't, maybe we'll see the introduction of an air powered sniper rifle? Who knows. There's plenty of time to make guesses.
I think certain guns like the long shot have a plunger system so that practically counts as an air powered blaster.

One of the key things he missed is that sniper rifles are not just about range, but also accuracy. While sure, Hasbro wouldn't be able to increase FPS and range without dealing with liability issues, they could increase the precision of certain blaster types, while limiting rate of fire. Adding a SCAR or other rifled muzzle device might help to make that happen.

Coop so I agree that the rival "sniper rifle" wouldn't be very effective but me and my friends make a bunch of games and a bunch of them we use the centurion because it's not very effective but it is a sniper esc blaster and the slow fire rate actually makes it more fun because of the feel and it balances out for how it works. So as much as I agree it would be nice to have an effective "sniper rifle" from the rival line. So for you it may not be very good but for most backyard kind nerfers like me and my buddies it would be pretty ideal for most of our game types

For a casual backyard nerdier, range is never really an issue, that's why I really take any blaster out there, either for fun or performance, and since my friends are used to a raider or a vagabond, I'm really excited to buy a nemesis and rule the backyard.
If they ever make a Rival sniper, it needs to be air powered.

This is often true along with being easier to dodge at longer ranges - even if your shot kept on going where you intended, a target who can see the HIRs coming would easily avoid it. This is, of course, harder with increased volume of fire, but then it wouldn't be a trait in a 'sniper('s) rifle'.

in reality the heavier and larger caliber bullet travels slower and has less velocity, but yes has more kinetic energy. the main reasons why snipers do and use higher caliber bullets is because there is more gunpowder behind them *usually*

May I suggest you do a Google search for "Pellet Bow"? It's a hunting bow designed to shoot small pellets, bullets, or stones. A similar concept was put into use for crossbows, as well, but were found to be woefully inadequate for anything smaller than very small animals.

Actually, no nerf blaster could be a "sniper rifle" because because "rifle" is a firearm term, and rifles have a spiral grooved barrel, increasing accuracy, while no nerf blaster has a mechanism like that, or could ever produce a mechanism like that because a foam dart does not have the same shape, style, nor consistency of a bullet.
Although I do understand what you are saying, I still would love a sniper rifle blaster for the Rival series. If they can make sniper rifles for the regular Nerf series, I'm pretty sure they can make a decent Rival sniper rifle.

What I want from a Nerf Rival sniper rifle is pretty simple. Spring powered, accurate, able to be cocked while maintaining a steady aim. Alternatively make it an air pump system. One quick pump for close shots, several for distance. The maximum would still have to be within safety limits of course.
I think the reason why people (and I) want a nerf sniper rifle is because i think some of us want the rival gun to fall under every firearm style (which is why I want a back-loaded revolver and a break-action shotgun). Also, I don't think people really care about the whole "faster muzzle velocity" and stuff, they just want a big-ass long gun to carry around and prop up with a bipod.

As an airsoft player, the stuff about hop-up in the rival line made me think a sniper rifle could exist, but then when he mentioned the stuff about increasing power and fps to lengthen the range reminded me that the exact same thing happens in airsoft with their "sniper rifles." While fps for regular airsoft rifles on fields are like 400 at the VERY maximum, sniper rifles can be a good bit more, but that comes with the requirement that users have to shoot targets farther than 50 or so feet to avoid injury (seriously, 500 fps is starting to stray into the low-end air rifle kind of power). Also, airsoft snipers exist, but they really are putting themselves at a disadvantage against people packing full auto electric guns that can be packed with hundreds of rounds PER MAGAZINE (though there are some that can make it work such as Novritsch). Technically speaking, Hasbro CAN do it, but the result will probably be not much different from what I see in other similar shooting sports.
after looking over the Rival line's wiki page a couple ideas/suggestions come to mind. nothing that is necessarily needed but just things that would be cool to have:
-flywheel pistol(a Rival Stryfe basically) compact flywheel sidearm, because all the Rival flywheel blasters are "primary" sized
-some kind of updated shotgun(Atlas 2.0) something that fires multiple rounds, but with a higher capacity then the 12 rounds(6 shots) of the Atlas.
again neither one is necessary, and i know there are mods that exist that do exactly what i just described, but just wanted to put my 2 cents in.

Personally, I would really want a small rival pistol (that includes a holster). It should be spring powered, so you can put your flywheel primary away in those rare moments when you need to sneak up on someone. It should be very light and small, and, as I mentioned before, include a holster so it's easy and comfortable to carry with you.
While it may not be as necessary as other things, having a quick, small blaster to draw if your primary jams or you have to attack someone without making too much noise (doesn't happen often but it does occasionally)
Most of the Rival series blasters are already sniper rifles, at least in terms of accuracy.

im from the future, and there are two rival pistols called the kronos and the knockout. the kronos is like a mega magness but with 5 balls and the knockout is a jolt but with a lot more steps before you fire. also there is a sniper rifle called the jupiter, which is in this rival sub series which i have forgotten the name of. it is basically a rival centurion
I think a Nerf Rival DMR (semi-automatic rifle) would be cool to. Maybe a non-battery heavy trigger system would work.

Honestly, the Zeus suits this role just fine. Semi automatic, very precise blaster and it has the advantage of handling well and being compact. For a sniper rifle to come out, I honestly think they would reskin the Zeus and add a bunch of plastic that doesn't need to be there.

There's a reason that the snipers (longshot and longstrike) are a favorite amongst modders. They offer a better platform from which to expand from. Currently mods on rivals are basically just "magazine mods" (Hiracane, Proton pack) there are a few others like the pump action apollo kit but most of those are obsolete since the artemis came out. I've yet to see the equivalent of the "angel breached k26 longshot" in rival. I believe that the minimalistic nature of the rival line limits design space.
Well maybe a longer plunger tube? And maybe not just a special spin mechanism, but like a precise one as well? So we get to adjust hop up accurately, etc. I'm thinking maybe MOA accuracy at some good range and like 120ft/s kinda zone?
Would also be cool if they had some silencer system too. Like a way to disperse ejecting air quietly and a baffle system to muffle the sound of the plunger. So like essentially it's more of a sneaky beaky blaster where you can take out someone from a littler farther

They need a normal ergonomic designed pump action rifle. The helios is nice but it's still side prime. we need an Alfa trooper in the rival line. Now I know we have the Artemis which is pump action but It doesn't have a stock, in 2018 we have the hades but that is massive and expensive. It should use the mags because those are under used. Only 2 popular guns use them!

I don't think they should make a specific sniper rifle platform, but possibly like a multipurpose rifle. The technology for a selector switch is being used in the Regulator which would allow for semi-auto and fully automatic

Well I still think that a “sniper-looking” blaster with a long barrel, long stock, and six round mag (all just for looks). That would be pretty cool because the Rival rounds are accurate and it would just be fun.

if they do make a rival "sniper rifle" it would be neat to see them integrate an Nstike tactical rail on the top to attach the new 5x zoom scope they are releasing, that's the only semi practical use I could see for that scope.
I think a rival sniper rifle could be really fun but very impractical and really only good for just goofing off and having fun

I think a rival sniper rifle should just carry a large plunger tube (and maybe a k26 too) rather than a longer barrel. That way there are benefits for using the sniper rifle that you don't get with other rival models.
If you want to have a pocket size rival blaster just modify a Bigshock
Hasbro will not care about the sniper rifle history, they call magazines ''clips'', they make guns that shoot from the SCOPE LOOKING THING (Tri-strike) and they have colours only a kid on drugs could make (apart from doomlands and zombie strike, love ya colours doomlands ;).

The only reason they'd ever make a sniper rifle is if the "ball spinning" mechanism you were talking about needed a long barrel to be effective.
I mean an internal magazine "true" bolt action would be pretty cool. It would also make for a really cool modding shell like the longstrike
the larger caliber isn't necessarily for longer range, its to have a heavier round that is less affected by cross winds and remains stable. it is true that larger calibers have more stopping power at range, but don't necessarily shoot farther
A bit late, bit for a rival sniper's rifle, I think that an air blaster with a medium length spiraled barrel would be very good. The spiral could give it better accuracy, and it could have an opv limiting a high potential air tank. It would probably have to be breach loaded.
I think it would be pretty cool if Hasbro released a pistol version of the apollo, which essentially was the same but didn't have the 'stock' section and instead was just pistol grip and in front. Maybe extend the front area slightly, increasing the barrel length and get rid of the upper tactical rail, instead using that space for the charging handle.
I think rival should have a sniper because rival is the most accurate and powerful line of nerf, and having an actually accurate nerf sniper for those dedicated nerf snipers
Perhaps they could make a sniper rifle body and keep the internals within the safety rules but have a set up that is ‘mod friendly’ like the longshot?
