- Nissan has recently introduced a new AMT variant of the Magnite C-SUV. This new version is called EZ-Shift. We went to Chennai to get our hands on it via a select preview of the model. The new AMT will only be offered on the 1.0-lt naturally aspirated petrol engine. It has 5-speed transmission. While most of the car is same without any changes, Nissan has also introduced a new dual tone colour option for the EZ-Shift buyers. Want to know how good or not so good it its? Xe amt makes sense over celerio vxi, wagon r vxi and Tiago xt. Only concern is long term survival of the brand. I presently own 2 Chevrolet.

I recently test drove the Exter, Punch, and Magnite, all of which were AMT. Out of the three, the Magnite EZ shift engine was by far the worst. It had a lot of lag and no power, which could potentially cause an accident. I found it to be an unsafe vehicle. My primary car is a Creta CVT. The Exter AMT works similarly to a CVT, and I didn't experience any lag. The Punch was also good, but there was some lag present.

Yea but your present Creta & Exter has pathetic safety ratings, Punch and Magnite has 5 & 4 star in GNCAP.
Buy base varient and modify it from off market and make it top xv premium in just 60000-7000 from karolbag delhi
Never do that. I have heard specially for magnite, the off market accessories quality is so poor, everything just goes bad within a year or two and no warranty. Base model plus the original accessories offered by Nissan comes with a warranty. I recently enquired and the complete accessories and stereo pack comes for 40k for base XE variant

Hi. Nexon AMT is a better tuned and more powerful car in comparison to the Magnite EZ Shift.
The facelifted Nexon AMT starts at 14.2L on-road price. Magnite AMT starts at 7.5L on-road price. I guess the choice is easy if you have budget constraints.
Nexon amt is almost double the price of this car. There's no comparison.

Nissan will flop in India if they don't bring like leaf or EV's.
Lol, no-one is interested in buying an EV as primary car in next 5 years atleast. Only people having one primary IC car is interested in an EV which is still a niche market. Nissan needs to get more models that bring good value and quality into the table.
