I wasent able to print anything until i installed that upgrade, glad there are still videos for the Anet A8 around as im probably one of the last people running one. Its been with me for so long its kinda hard to get rid of it now
i haved printed out with your CURA profile and my friend... awesomeness!!!merveilleux first time for me printing with flexible and all the credits goes to you man :)
With my anet A8 i can get nice results with TPU at 100 mm/s: 240C extruder, 75C bed, 10% infill and no retraction. The item has good detail and is flexible and glossy. The only issue is high stringing but thoose are easy to peel off.
I have been trying to print TPU 6 times now. The TPU fails to feed out the nozzle at some point while printing. What can I do to prevent that? I am already manually unwinding from the spool as it seems to stretch rather than feed.
Are you using a shorter heat break than the stock Anet A8 30mm heat break? I have mine screwed further up toward my extruder gear and idler, maybe only .5mm gap between heat break and idler/gear. I know some heat breaks are 26mm and you can't get them screwed in far enough to do this, such as the all metal ones. I haven't been able to find an all metal 30mm heat break for my Anet A8. Great video, I want to try printing flexibles in the future so will definitely try out your cura settings! Thanks!
I am using Cura 3.6.0. my startup code looks like this: G28 ;Home M117 Auto level... G29 ;auto level G1 Z15.0 F6000 ;Move the platform down 15mm G0 X0 Y0 F9000 ; Go to front G0 Z0.4 ; Drop to bed G92 E0 ; zero the extruded length G1 X40 E25 F500 ; Extrude 25mm of filament in a 4cm line G92 E0 ; zero the extruded length G1 E-1 F500 ; Retract a little G1 X80 F4000 ; Quickly wipe away from the filament line M117 Printing...
And I really appreciate your help. Your vids are easy to understand and you explain how and why very well. Good for someone like myself who is starting out with zero experience
Could you recommend me a good heat bed sticker that's sold on amazon.es, great video. Will be printing the filament guide even if it's just for pla. Dose TPU release harmful fumes, in other words could I have my printer printing out of the night in my bedroom
That might actually depend on the flexibility of the material. I would not try very flexible TPU with a Bowden setup. The SUNLU I used is probably a good alternative that might work at lower print speeds. But stay away from the ninjaflex on Bowden pretty sure.
The A8 is dead in the water....prices is dropping and although i have built and sold 6 ...all upgraded ....to order in the past 12 months....cannot get rid of the seventh after my “buyer” found the Ender3 on what was once the biggest Anet FB group...now switched to Creality....
Interesting but I am currently waiting for the Anet A8 2019 to come out and test. The A8 plus is nice but where is the advantage over something like the CR10?
David Mokweni Anet are not an innovator...unlike Creality and a couple of others...Anet are a pure cloner and as their first clones of Creality....they don’t even make a machine without assembly issues. Anet A8 suited the surging market a couple of years back, cheap...but if/ when tuned in...and modified fir function and safety...created very good results. The A8 is not the market “leader” it was at the lower cost market. Too much negative publicity at the time Creality emerged with some good machines.

After trying so many Cura slicer settings, I was about to throw this TPU in the garbage. Your profile made a huge difference! Thanks for sharing!

Oh great to hear that, love it!

Thanks for another great video daniel

Mine were really short out of the box but this filament guide fixed it for me.
awesome !!now we need a petg test!!:)
Yes, PETG is next, then ABS
@@Crosslink3D awesome!!parfait!!!and SUNLU filament work very well but its my own advice PLA is very good of the same brand
Great vid, got a question, what version of cura do you use and can you recommend g code setting for it
I am using Cura 3.6.0. my startup code looks like this:
G28 ;Home
M117 Auto level...
G29 ;auto level
G1 Z15.0 F6000 ;Move the platform down 15mm
G0 X0 Y0 F9000 ; Go to front
G0 Z0.4 ; Drop to bed
G92 E0 ; zero the extruded length
G1 X40 E25 F500 ; Extrude 25mm of filament in a 4cm line
G92 E0 ; zero the extruded length
G1 E-1 F500 ; Retract a little
G1 X80 F4000 ; Quickly wipe away from the filament line
M117 Printing...
But the G29 will only work with a sensor installed and marlin firmware.
Thanks, can I just cut and paste that in the gcode box?
And I really appreciate your help. Your vids are easy to understand and you explain how and why very well. Good for someone like myself who is starting out with zero experience
Yes, but comment G29 out unless yo have a sensor and Marlin firmware. Everything else should work with stock firmware, too.
another awesome review daniel!:)
Great tips.

I just bought one of these: amzn.to/2DSUJUT. Will do a review soon, it works good!
Is it possible to print with a e3d v6 Bowden system? I switcht to it and the teflon tube is pretty long :S

Спасибо за профиль CURA.
What layer height you used?
0.2mm

I see, it’s not over yet but I can see that the Ender 3 community is growing fast

Great job, thanks
