  • Heavy metal rock legend, Ozzy Osbourne sits down with Zane Lowe joined by Sharon Osbourne and Andrew Watt to break down Ozzy’s thirteenth studio album, ‘Patient Number 9.'
The trio get an unexpected call from Ozzy’s album producer, Andrew Watt, who shares what it really takes to create an Ozzy Osbourne album. Ozzy goes on to explain what it took to get his idol Jeff Beck on the song “Patient Number 9” and how excited he was when Jeff said yes.
Zane Lowe dives into Sharon and Ozzy’s personal life, discussing family, 'The Osbournes', and addiction. Despite all the hardship, the couple are completely in love and describe the healthy boundaries they've set in order to maintain their marriage. Although Ozzy is still recovering, ‘Patient Number 9’ is the first step to getting him back on stage.

As a massive Ozzy fan , I want to give praise to Zane Lowe. I've never heard his name before today , but I have nothing but respect for how he handled this interview. So often for some reason , interviewers will cut short and censor a legend like Ozzy. This interview is perfect , silence when Ozzy is talking , not picking and continuing on a negative topic , no "Tell me about the bat" story , just a pure interview focused mostly on topics of today and positivity . Just perfect.

I'm 54 yrs. old and have listened to Ozzy since Black Sabbath days. I got to meet him when he was 35 yrs. Old. He signed a very rare tour program. It was appraised at 13 thousand dollars. My living room walls are adorned with Ozzy memorabilia along with other rock stars autographs. Growing up I lived a very tragic life. During the hard times I would put on a Ozzy album and it took me out of reality for awhile. My dad hated Ozzy but when I would play Ozzy in my bedroom at high volume I would lock my door. The cool thing about it was my dad didn't have a key for the door so all he could do is yell outside my door. My bedroom was a shrine to Ozzy. I even stole a real stuffed bat from my science class. One day I forgot to lock my door and my dad took all my Ozzy memorabilia like tapestries and posters along with my bat and when I got home from school my dad was burning all of it in the fire pit. I ran away from home at the age of 15 yrs. old and never returned, living with a friend until I was 18 yrs. old when I moved into a apt. In Tacoma Wa. I regained Ozzy memorabilia. I've seen Ozzy 10 times and Black Sabbath 4 times. Talking about patient number 9. All star band was a great addition but even with without all the other rock stars Ozzy could still stand on his own. Though ORDINARY man went Gold sales, I guarantee that patient number 9 will surpass that in sales. One last thing. All Ozzy fans should own the album SCREAM. It's a heavy album but sales didn't achieve expectations. If I was a betting guy, it would be one of your favorite albums. I'm battling Cancer. I'm not afraid of dying but as I'm going through this Patient number 9 is my escape. Have fun with the album guys and gals

Ozzy is a living legend that no one can hold a candle to! In my family 3 generations have loved his music and his family...the only better word to classify him is “Icon”... Ozzy is an icon in so many ways... diehard metal man for decades, amazing Dad and Grandfather in his home life.. he is REAL, HONOST, and will always tell it like it is!(even if it’s not all perfect)... He’s given us a life lesson on what to be and how NOT to act... IWe sooo LOVE you Ozzy... you’re gonna rock our friggin’ world eternally..🤟🏻🤗❤️

You have got to be kidding???!!! The greatest man on the planet???!!!
How much of his considerable fortune will go to improving humanity and charities or will Jack and Kelly get enough to live in upperclass luxury for the rest of their lives.
I mean you could make a case for Paul McCartney or the Singer guy of The Who, or Judith Durham for that matter. And what about Judy Collins, and Petulla Clark and Tony Bennett.
I think your standards are a tad low.
However you can worship Ozzy if you like but at least consider some alternatives like God, The Holy Spirit, The Risen Christ ….
But many will probably scoff at me-- HA, HA, HA ! ! !
