Always thought a lot of the battle themes in Nocturne sounded like a dialogue between the angels yelling at Demi Fiend/putting him on an inquisition for his actions, and Demi Fiend himself responding. And this particular boss theme shows us how bleak this state of affairs is, that the endless cycle of destruction and rebirth is so unbearable that even the demons ask God/YHVH/Great Will for help, if their voices and desire to end the cycle can be heard. And Demi Fiend might just be the one to answer that call, depending on his course. The tone and vocalization of this cover captures these themes in a fantastic way. Awesome work again GILL.
TDE wasn't a thing in og Nocturne though. And without it, there's no side that thinks "Samsara bad." So this is pretty much just projecting Maniax primacy.
@@2tehnik Idk, I feel like it still fits to a degree on that front, as nocturne always showed the issue/flaws of the system of reincarnation, even if you couldn't find your way out of it in the original game.
Fierce Battle is good, but I've always liked this boss battle theme the most. It feels more gloomy and intense, which fits well with how tough the bosses in Nocturne are. You absolutely killed it with the vocals! I hope you also have Nocturne's common battle theme on the to-do list for one day! I've always enjoyed that one. Especially Meguro's crazy guitar solos on the expanded track.
