Thumbs up Kiki. Since I discovered your channel, my cooking game has changed drastically, earning me the award of 'the best cook ever' from my kids and nieces 😀
I rarely comment on vids and I have watched many 'how to' vids. This is one of the best and easiest guides

Get a wok instead of frying pans and casseroles and your kitchen will never be messy again.

@@---iv5gj you are a fool. A big one
We made it today and it's soooooo tasty, flavour and seasoning balance are just incredible! Thank you very much for your recipe and cheers from Italy!
white guy here, tried this, for the first time i didnt end up with a sticky mess, but really put the temp low when you do the foil, the steam is an extra source of heat. Mine looked and tasted good and fluffy in the middle but around the sides and bottom the jollof was burned lol, but i think as well i didnt mix it well before adding water and the crispy rice was the most flavorful. Anything awesome tutorial :)
Burnt jollof adds a smoky flavour
Jollof burning is normal
absolutely normal, most ghanaian kids fight over who get the burnt jollof at the bottom, after the meal is served 😂😂😂
This is one of the best cooking tutorials I have ever seen, can't wait to try it!
Made this last Sunday. It was a big hit!! Lots of compliments. Thanks for such a simple recipe.
One of the best and easiest Nigerian Jollof rice recipe. I love or prefer the No "talking cook videos". More easy to follow without hearing long stories.
I cooked the rice today I am South African. I made the rice for my Nigerian husband. Wow it's so delicious 😋. The recipe it's easy thanks for uploading.
Came here after watching Miriam on her channel "It's So Good" make this recipe. I am looking forward to trying this. It looks simple and so delicious!
Hello im a white woman and im from Germany my husband is from Ghana and we are married for 20 years . I love jollof rice but before is so difficult for me and my husband cook it before but is so long time im so sorry for my English in now 😊. So i see you video and i try to cook your rice and the chicken and I must to say i do it and it's not so difficult like when my husband show we it. And i must to say my husband told me this rice is so good and he say now he missed ghana . So thank you and i kiss your cheeks 😘😘😘
I wish to too find a guy that he's culture cook these kind of food wow 😅😊
I’ve always struggled with making jollof (mainly with the rice-stew ratio) but this recipe made it so easyyy. My jollof officially SLAPS thanks to you!! 👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️
Nicely prepared and yummilicious end result
Thank you so much! Turned out perfect! I have been trying to learn for a while but some UA-camrs just over complicate things. Yours was easy to follow and still came out delicious!
Discovered I'm 33% Nigerian which is the highest portion of my African DNA history, makes sense why I always preferred African dishes. I can eat this for breakfast ☺☺☺Yummmmy.....Thanks for this video
Don't forget jollof rice is a Ghanaian dish pls
Thank you so much. My Zulu mom so loves it, she let on saying mmmmm from the first bite to the last 😋😋😋😋😋so delish!!! Love from Saa 🇿🇦
Thank you so much for getting straight to the point of making delicious Jollof rice and not talking through the whole video.
I made it yesterday for my ghanaian husband and it was perfect. I tried other recipes from UA-cam but all they failed. Yours is perfect. Thank you so much ♥️
I used your recipe last night but switched out the turkey for chicken thighs. It was delicious!
How much of chicken did you put in?

Brilliant thanks a lot. After following so many recipes I also found you made it much simpler and more straightforward!
I made this and it turned out so great👍🏾
Music to my ears 😉
Me too
I tried this recipe, and I must say it’s the best ever. I’ve always wondered why my jollof rice doesn’t come out right, turns out I’m not doing it the right way. This is my go to recipe forever ❤️❤️
Awww. Super happy for that
This is the best Jollof recipe I’ve made so far and I will be sticking to this one. I did add half of green bell pepper and substituted one chicken bullion for one shrimp bullion and used chicken quarters instead of turkey. I just can’t believe I made Jollof rice perfect the way I like it, even better than restaurant bought 😉. My Ghanaian husband and kids loved this, thank you so much!
Looks delicious..will definitely try it ..thanks for sharing🤝❤😋
I followed this recipe to the TEE and man oh man did it come out just as perfect as you illustrated . I love you and appreciate your video recipes thank you again!!
Awww. Music to my ears
I really love this, thank you. You've just got a new sub😍
I’ve made it twice now and they’ve both turned out perfect!! Granted I estimated the amount of spices and I burned the rice in the process, it added an amazing smoky flavor that made it taste like special party jollof rice. If you have a wonky electric cooker like mine you’ll probably need to cook the rice for longer at the last stage( it took 35 mins for me) Easiest jollof recipe I’ve encountered. I highly recommend it.
Yes, I also realised my rice wasn’t cooked at 20 minutes so I left it for longer

This looks incredible! Thanks for sharing the recipe, I’ve been wanting to make jollof rice for ages but never found a recipe that looked this good. How spicy is it with all the scotch bonnet peppers?
I only about a few in mine so not so much spicy, but depending on your spice tolerance level, you can increase or decrease the amount of the scotch bonnet pepper.
Have followed your recipe twice and it is soo good! thank you! my nigerian partner absolutely loves it haha

My in-laws are Geechee. They make a dish quite similar to this called Red Rice. I wonder if it was originally Jollof Rice that has changed names over time.
Thanks for sharing. Your instructions are clear and simple.
Yep its all from joloff.
Red rice is rice with stew, I eat it all the time. It is pretty similar to jellof rice
What a delicious recipe you gat there. The rice is looking so Yum yum
This jollof rice is really amazingly oyoyo, dis method is really nice and yummy tanks for sharing
This took me 5 hours to make!!!!!! In fact I just finished at 1AM
Was it worth it?
TOTALLY
Why did it take so long?
@@heidicurney-miller22 The cooking time includes all the prep from washing the chicken to frying it, blending and boiling the pepper mixture, then cooking the rice. Also, the mixed peppers take a while to cook.
I found cooking the meat and getting the peppers ready the night before saves lots of time and makes clean up easier
@@fauziyyamustapha3532 How long would this take without cooking the meat and just the jollof rice only?
Will try doing that, thank you :)

was that rice cooked it looked a bit to hard
No
Am I the only one scared by the amount of cooking oil she poured in that pot?
That amount of oil is necessary for the rice not to stick to each other plus it will help rice not to get burned under the bottom of the pan
