    I enjoyed his bike tour. Good seeing what the 80s had in terms of touring and how it can transform with today's tech.

      Right?! I've grown so much appreciation for this era of Fuji since we filmed this. Such a high value design - Thanks for watching!

    Very cool bike. One thing not discussed was the frame. Back then Fuji was using Ishiwahta designed frames and they were outstanding. For this bike, they used a lugged, QUAD butted high end CroMoly frame, resulting in a very light, durable steel framed bike. No wonder this is your fastest bike!! Personally, I own a '85 Fuji Opus III road bike that I switched out the drop downs for a flat bar set up for my own comfort. It also has the quad butted CroMoly frame and its' advertised weight was only 20 lbs - insane for a steel framed bike!! It's the best feature of these bikes.

      Whoa that's pretty cool! Maybe I should be looking for a vintage Fuji now. That's interesting - thanks for watching!

    The dork disk is no joke. I have the same frame and love it. It came to me two years ago. On my first trip out, the original Suntour derailleur went into the spokes. The bike stopped. I did not. Luckily, I was riding slow. I jumped over the handlebars and landed on my feet. It destroyed the derailleur. I replaced it with a vintage Suntour Cyclone. I love the bike. Rode it all 7 days of RAGBRAI this year and ran into another guy with the same Fuji frame.

      Glad you're okay! Dork disk for life ✊
      Thanks for watching Nick!

      It is a disk, but not dorky…. low profile, black, stealthy…. needs a new appropriate name…. :)

    It _is_ a rad bike. And Thomas, the reason he has a triple up front is the same reason he has a dork disc - because he's a BOSS.

    I have that bike hanging in my storage that I bought at a garage sale. Mine is stock, but now plan on changing the bars, and adding some things. Right now it is getting new rubber first, but will ask about bars. Your video was very cool to find.

    I didnt see anyone else say, so...
    For the old school style of canti brakes, you need to drop the yoke until it's just above the top of the tire for proper braking performance. The way they are now it's no wonder the bike doesn't brake well. Canti brakes are great, they just need proper adjustment. Otherwise they wouldn't have been specced on touring bikes (i.e. lots of weight) for decades.
    Perfect do-anything bike, very nice!

    I have a circa 1986 Raleigh Kodiak. I think the front fork is not origional. It looks like it's off of a mountain bike? Anyway, does anyone know where i could find a nice touring front fork for a vintage 80's bike?? thanks . nice video.

      Not sure what your steerer, trail, or length is, but you might look at Soma Fab forks. They make a bunch. 👍

    Lakisha pop-up tent at Walmart for 179 is the best damn tent under 200 bucks you can get if you can get a deal on those and get something like marmot gear, mermaid packs, marmot tense affordable someone fat bikes in gear and touring gear. that’s your new sales market I think that’s what you should do. Combine and sell some protein foods as well make it a superstore like🎉🎉🎉😂

    Like people are not gonna afford the car in the condo and the apartment rent in the taxes and the fuel prices 90% of the population is below 70 K and they’re going to the FEMA camp unless they can survive if you can sell an affordable fat bike and gear for touring you’ll do what you will do well that’s my thought on the matter because not everybody can afford those pretty bikes or spend $1000 on a set a new wheels are going to need affordable equipment and sales and that’s what you will generate

  • @margarettelillie7813
    @margarettelillie7813 24 дні тому

    Like not pretty like expensive crap that rips and tears the Keisha moment to the mermaid gear the Keisha pop up I can get my bike and 80 pounds of supplies and gears inside the Keisha pop-up tent and you can sell that for 200 bucks and it’s the best damn tent you’re gonna get as good as other brands in storms. That’s what you want gear like that affordable. OK that’s my opinion that’s what you should do I think for your sales OK good luck good luck bra giddyup yahoo ha ha.🎉🎉🎉🎉😂❤

  • @margarettelillie7813
    @margarettelillie7813 24 дні тому

    Yeah you got the right idea but not this one. This one’s over 20 years old in the frame will crack OK you can crash bad with this I carry for five days 60 to 80 pounds supplies in gear so you need to start with like a Schwinn Lokas twin steel frame bike that people can add parts to invite at Marks right they can upgrade at Marks but the frame is strong enough to carry the gear. That’s what people are gonna need a tour bike steel frame tour break that’s affordable that they can upgrade in the gear right like tough like marmot.

    Dear Mulkey, I’m going to send you a check for $1 million and I want 300 bikes contact Standing Rock Tribe and Lakota Sioux tribe in South Dakota and take their order. • @margarettelillie7813
    @margarettelillie7813 24 дні тому

    Can you because you’re gonna be find a lot of people out living out they can’t afford rent anymore. They gotta have a tour, bike and gear and gravel bike and gear and you’re gonna sell a lot of those Keisha chance their goodness storm as good as anything I paid 250 for at REI or dicks or any damn other place there is goodness storm if you can get those for just under 100 you can sell them for two it’s that’s 100 bucks a pop and you want to sell granola and some trail mix and a Schwinn fat bike with a steel frame that can upgrade things like that that’s what you need Mark OK that’s what that’s what it is man affordable tough gear. OK that’s what it does.

    I will be contacting a tax attorney, and I’m told I will have a credit card for right off. I will fly in to sac place the order myself contact tribal leaders. The order should be practical. They need commuters, trail. Bikes, kids, bikes, tour, bikes, I promise them all surly, the older cats want the cargo bikes I’m not buying them all moon lander, so they can sell them for a grand or something. The order must be practical. That’s where you come in.

    I’m not cutting you down bro just show some crash scenes in edit fast and slow. You know then show a guy tacos this wheel and then he can get it fixed at Mike’s bikes for sales. You need sales bra, right? Crazy shit like that like super Dave and then super Dave gets his fixed at Mike’s bikes and I thank you should also going to you need to sell gear bra like what’s happening is a crash with the economy that’s all people walk up will afford is a touring bike and gear like affordable like the quiche.
