Me and the wife road time traveler back in 2019 and that thing was awesome havent ridden to many coasters but ill never forget that first drop and launch
Goliath at Six Flags over Georgia is my favorite B&M hyper that I've ridden, and I agree with you on what a great coaster it is. I purchased a season pass to SFOG (since it's one of the 4 closest parks to where I live) back in May, so I've enjoyed several rides on Goliath over the past few months. I love so many things about this coaster, most notably how relentless and aggressive it is for a B&M hyper -- it never lets up. Its first two drops are great (especially the second one), it has great pacing, it has a great variety of so much air time, the downward helix is insane. Last weekend, after spending a few hours getting 14 rides on ArieForce One, I went to SFOG just to ride Goliath and Twisted Cyclone. I walked on Goliath as soon as I entered the park. Then I walked on Twisted Cyclone right after that. While on Twisted Cyclone's brake-run, all the coasters were closing due to inclement weather approaching. So, I left the park and headed home. BUT I was still very satisfied with getting my one ride on each coaster, especially Goliath. It's fairly rare that I actually gray out on a roller coaster, but I certainly have during the majority of my rides on Goliath. I don't know what it was about the one ride I had on it last weekend, but I grayed out the most intensely I ever have on a roller coaster going through the helix. I wasn't expecting that. Maybe it didn't help that I had just spent four hours at Fun Spot in 90 plus degree weather riding ArieForce One before I hopped on Goliath in the same 90 plus degree weather. I'm also a big fan of Copperhead Strike. I ride it pretty regularly since Carowinds is another one of my 4 closest parks. I always have a lot of fun riding Copperhead Strike. For me, it's just one of those all-around fun coasters. Thunderhead was my favorite GCI until I rode Mystic Timbers last month. I wasn't as crazy about it as so many enthusiasts are, but it is a great coaster (although I do think it gets a bit too much credit).
I appreciate you giving you honest opinions on these top roller coasters. There are some great coasters out there that I haven't tried yet that I would like to do someday. I look forward to what coasters you have in part 2.
I am really excited for part 2. I love watching your vids especially after I go to new theme parks. I recently went to Six flags great America for the first time and I am excited that you also really enjoyed Goliath. It is a beast in the back row and at night.
Nice list! Glad to see Raven get some respect - putting it over Ravine Flyer II seems controversial but I personally agree. Great call on Goliath, too. Looking forward to the Top 25. Thanks Marc!
Twisted Colossus looks repetitive. Like if people complain about SteVe being repetitive, I don’t know why I see nobody complaining about Twisted Colossus
@@huntzzio Well, essentially it looks like you’re getting two different rides on Twisted Colossus depending on whether if you ride on the blue or green track. Makes for some coaster uniqueness💚💙
I have been on Twisted Colossus and I think it is a great ride. I have only been on 2 RMC hybrids Twisted colossus and Goliath and after a back row night ride on both, I think Goliath is the better hybrid coaster. Also X2 is easily better than twisted colossus making TC the 2nd best ride in the park. Btw I got a dueling night ride in the back row on TC. That is a heck of a ride.
Modern day Thunderhead is Soo good! It's my 3rd favorite coaster behind Steel Vengeance and Arieforce One, with Mystic Timbers being in 6th. I've only been on 45 coasters total though
Great list! It's nice to see some love for Boss & Aftershock as well! I was surprised by how much better those inverted boomerangs are in comparison to the standard sit-down models.
Great video! Yes, you're definitely very well qualified to make a list like this now! I liked seeing Beast and Mystic Timbers that high! I know Orion is coming up because you said that was your favorite at KI, and also Legend, The Voyage, and your favorites like I 305. I'm looking forward to how you rank the top 25!
Just got back from 4 rides on Boulder Dash (3 in front, final ride in the back, with time in between to let it warm up.) Ride #3 in the front had the best mix of forces while staying smooth. Ride #4 in the back was an violent, unhinged ejector death machine that left me speechless . I liked the Titan Track section, might want to see them add a few hundred feet in the one remaining trouble spot, just do NOT touch the finale. New trains (ANYTHING other than the PTCs) would be appreciated by the tall among us.
@@CoasterDash Wasn't even the most jarring moment on the ride. That would be one specific pullout right before the turn into the finale. That's pretty brutal in every row except 1.
lol 10:40 "were thanks to this Berry Coaster". Had to turn captions on to check if i heard that correctly. Looking forward to part 2. Some great coasters on this list so far.
Great list! Next time you are at Cedar Point, try riding Magnum in row 17, I found it to be quite comfortable there, and is one of the best hypers imo.
I love how Phoenix just wants to murder you and throw you on the tracks from start to finish. Currently, its my favorite woodie, but I'm going to SFGADV so El Toro will probably take that spot.
Well just done the west coast (lagoon and silverwood included) and man am i glad all the coasters so far are outside of the top 25. I think i only have done 2 that could be good enough to make it in there (Goliath in magic mountain was a condidate one of but i could only ride it once so not enough to say if it was just good or an excellent ride). And the US is suppose to be the premiere country of elite coasters. Now lets see if emperor in San diego makes the top 25. It was actually the only coaster i did that really impressed me (then again i haven't ridden that many floorless B&M's of the type this one is on me second spot). Not wanting to complain about the coasters in your home state Marc, there plenty of good ones just a bit sad that i only can think of 2 coasters that impressed me, and just 1 of them is good enough to be considered really excellent. The other one was the gerstlauer at knotts. I still think its sort of a new style for them cause it didn't feel like "the classical" Gerstlauer experience. Still considering some pretty good we have in europe this one was defently not the best one but for the brand defently still a top coaster for the brand.
It's tough comparing Twisted Colossus to Ghostrider, especially if sometimes there are coasters in between because they're as good like weaker B&M gigas I've ridden like Leviathan and Orion and weaker B&M hypers I've ridden like Nitro which are still excellent coasters too, as opposed to better gigas I've ridden like Fury 325 and better hypers I've ridden like Diamondback, Behemoth, Raging Bull, assuming they're all back car rides except Fury 325 which is best in the front. My only quibble is that Diamondback is missing from this list. Other than that: thanks for posting: Cheers!
No Tremors? Aw...I think Tremors is on par with Aftershock and Stunt Pilot personally but a lot of enthusiasts tend to adore steel while being meh about wood in their rankings so I get it.
USA truly has some wonderful coasters! My top list - 1. Intimidator 305 (Kings Dominion) 2. Diamondback (Kings Island) 3. Millennium Force (Cedar Point) 4. Magnum XL 200 (Cedar Point) 5. The Beast (Kings Island) 6. Velocicoaster (Islands of Adventure) 7. Maverick (Cedar Point) 8. Hadrigs Magical Creatures (Islands of Adventure) 9. Steel Vengeance (Cedar Point) 10. Pheonix (Knoebles) HM#1: Top Thrill Dragster (Cedar Point) HM#2 : Space Mountain (Disney World Magic Kingdom) Also that Diamondback Cover Photo for the Video was a bit deceiving seeing as it didn't make Marc's list 😟
I'll be straight honest, I think that Twisted Colossus is heavily overrated. It did nearly nothing for me and I, unfortunately, never got a proper duel. I got to ride it in the afternoon and sunset in the front and back, and it was good in the back, but not something that I thought was amazing. As of today, I only have 23 credits, but this ride isn't in my top 3. I feel like Twisted Cyclone and Goliath (SFOG) are both better than this ride by a mile. That's just my thoughts on it though. I may have had a bad experience. Though i think that I had a pretty good feel of it. As always, looking forward to your videos, Marc. And especially these next few! I'd love to see where you rank ArieForce One. 😁❤️
I don’t get everyone’s love for Goliath at SFOG….I think Mako is a better ride overall. I literally just rode Goliath again and it had a bit of a rattle and it wasn’t as intense as previous rides.
Goliath is superior to mako in every way except smoothness. More airtime, stronger airtime, no trims, intense turnaround, an actually good second half. I don’t understand the mako fanboys
The only thing I disagree with ishow low Ravine Flyer II is on yours and, really, most any other enthusiast's list. I've ridden the large Gravity Group coasters in the US and it's easily my favorite. Granted, this may have to do with upkeep and timing ofwhen I rode the others. I rode Boardwalk Bullet in 2009 and it was fun but way too rough, especially for being only two years old. I rode Voyage in 2014 and, again, fun but rough. Not as bad as others in my group claimed, but still hardly top 5 worthy. I rode Hades 360 in 2019 and I loved it. Rough. But not nearly as bad as I had heard. Top 10 wood worthy. But RFII just did something for me. I've noticed though in watching and reading these types of lists that sometimes there's an oddball coaster that people connect with. Others are like, "yeah-- it was good, but not THAT good" Anyway, keep up the good work, Dash!
