@@kinghubie68 Yeah, let it grow. Yeah some of these Chibsons are decent guitars, I have a bunch of Gibson Les Paul´s that I like very much, including a 2014 Gibson Les Paul Custom, I really like Gibson´s but I only have one Chibson, an ES355 that I got for free from someone that also got it for free from the original owner that imported it from china around 2006-2007 something like that, so its one of the first Chibson´s to come to Europe I believe. It still plays great, it has fret-end-binding also. Even though I did level the frets on it. Now days Gibson´s are really expensive, I mean a Studio is close to 2000 bucks.. and I think it does not have to be that expensive just because it´s a Gibson.
@kiillabytez don't want to mess with it have 5 Gibson Les Pauls and another Chibson LP which is a nice guitar. Maybe give it away to someone that could use it.
I ordered a one pickup black beauty from china and to my door in like 5 days it was 235 bucks. It looked pretty good. The diamond headstock was a little off but basically looked good. Holding it you could tell it was not a Gibson. The neck was super fat, a 50's neck on steroids. Besides the fact something felt off the not was about a half inch tall, I'm exaggerating. Still anyone that says its almost a Gibson is lying. Don't fool yourself. Or it's okay ti fool yourself just don't fool other people into buying one. l
I am glad you like the guitar. It looks pretty good but I'd still recommend an older used Epiphone Les Paul Custom since there are tons of them still around for little money. Korean ones can be real gems. I recently found a 2004 Korean made Epi LP Custom with a Dimarzio Super distortion installed in the bridge position. $400 with a hard shell case.
I did the same thing to pickguard, you think you are pulling a thin layer of plastic off,but you end up taking the shiney thicker coating, off the top of the plastic, I knew right away when I saw you fighting to get the plastic off, that you peeled the shine off, some sort of plastic veneer, laminated most likely, that has to be the best chibsons black beauty I've seen yet, you really got a nice one.
@@msaintpc if the goal is to match Gibson and Gibson CS guitar serial numbers are ink they should be using it. But besides that, who cares if the serial number fades on a Chibson?
