Some years ago a talented painter did my sailing yacht with Epifanes Polyurethane with great success. Nowadays I have a Motoryacht which needs a new skin of paint.
Epifanes will be my first choice.
Finished close up inspections would have helped to sell me on it.
How much reducer do you mix with paint with the roll and tip method I rather keep trying it out on test panel until I get good enough with the method I painted without reducer today with a roller and brush but it didn't come out looking great. I usually use reducer now but when I paint my truck again will be using a turbine sprayer. I like the brush and roller method though.
I want to use this on furniture. Do I need a special primer and which finish do I use for a glass like shine? Is there any sanding between coats? Will white yellow? And you said I could have them make custom colors?? Please answer I've been researching for a year to find something like this.
What brush do you find best?
I’m still looking for a quality badger bristle for oil glazing & have a hard time finding one thats well made....
I had problems with brush application and even roll and tip until Epiphanes rep came down, it was rolled and tipped off with a foam "Jenny" brush. Have you tried them ? It was a gamechanger.
What's a foam "Jenny" brush?
After you applied this can you buff and compound this after a year or 2 ?
I’m a sign writer that does traditional hand painted works. Can epifans be used for hand lettering boat transoms?
Are these Epifanes products polishable with a machine polisher or glaze compounds/polishes to remove minor imperfections?

With the Rolling and tipping method, is a totally flawless finish possible to achieve? The reason I ask is because I have a jet boat capable of doing 60-70mph and I want a show quality finish.

Can you gelcoat, with this technique?
One question do you have to continue until the end of one side of the boat or could you stop halfway and continue the next day.

Yes. At least finish one side. You could do the other side later and it will be fine but dont stop mid canvas.
Will this work on a car?
Epifanes had a display booth at the WoodenBoat Show in Mystic last month and they had a classic car there that they had painted with a roller. It looked amazingly good, so yes, it appears that you can paint a car with it.
