My philosophy is to do whatever makes me happy in the moment.
I used to also be “clinically depressed”, but once I adopted this mindset, I just didn’t care anymore and now I’m happy almost all the time.
Obviously this strategy would not work for a lot of people who have actual responsibilities, but speaking as an asexual computer nerd who doesn’t want kids, it works for me.
Also, I’m not sure if you understand what clinical depression means lol: it’s a person who has depression and needs professional help. It’s not an uncurable disease, it’s just someone who needs therapy, and therapy was definitely a lot of help for me.

Although I strongly disagree with your viewpoint/life philosophy, Im glad you have found what works for you.
When i say "incurable disease," i'm referring to more the way society as a whole views it, as yes your correct that is the definition of clinical depression.

There is a huge problem with putting people who have healthy sadness with people who are chronically depressed [depressed for no reason, those guys have an actual brain disease]. Most people who are diagnosed with depression probably don't have that brain disease. How the hell can they group someone depressed for more than 2 weeks over someone dying to someone depressed for no good reason? That's the issue sir.
