At 40:52, the answer to the question "are you able to carry the responsibilities of a resident" should be YES unless you have a specific reason to answer no. The rest of the questions in that section are generally answered NO unless you have a reason to say YES.
Thank you for what you are doing. So i chose ‘health care administration’ as a focus area for experience thinking it is providing a health care .. is that affect my general CV??
Thanks, Malke! This is an amazing video. Answered so many of my questions!! If we have a book chapter that is accepted but doesn't have the page numbers yet, where can we mention that?
Thanks doctor, you are a life saver. I am an IMG with passed step 1 and step 2 but not ECFMG certified. Is it possible for me to get ERAS token and apply for ERAS application without getting ecfmg certified ?
Great video Dr Asaad! I had a question- If I gave an oral presentation, under the author(s)/ Presenter(s) do I enlist all authors or since I was the sole presenter, should i only enlist my name? Also, if one of my published research article does not have an issue number, what should I write there?
Thank you for the video! I was transferring medical schools after 3 years in Europe to complete it in my home country, should I write it under "interruptions" ?
Thank you so much. Dr.Malke Asaad. I have a question. I had to extend my medical education 1 year to prepare for USMLE and learn English. Should I put yes or no ?
Yes say something like "I took x months off from x month to x month to dedicate time to study for the USMLE Step 1." It shows transparency. Keep it short and concise. If they ask about it then be prepared to talk about it.
If i had education before medical school but wasn't a prerequisite for medical school admission can i include that as education? I'M an RN and has a diploma in nursing prior to medical school
Very informative video Dr Asaad! I wanted to ask you if my abstract is accepted for publication and poster presentation in an international conference like CHEST or ACG but the conference is in October.. where should I mention it in the publications section?
If they were presented, they should be added under the presentation section. If the abstract is going to be published separately, accepted but not published yet, they should go under the accepted category, only if they are fully accepted.

Hi, Dr. Assad. Great video! I had a question, that if my abstracts were presented as ePosters in a conference and will be published in a journal after the 25th of September. Should I list them under Poster Presentation? Or ‘Accepted (Articles/Abstracts)’?
If they were presented, they should be added under the presentation section. If the abstract is going to be published separately, accepted but not published yet, they should go under the accepted category, only if they are fully accepted.

Hello Dr. I have a question: should I include my step 1 and 2ck dedicated period as an interruption and extension?
Yes say something like "I took x months off from x month to x month to dedicate time to study for the USMLE Step 1." It shows transparency. Keep it short and concise. If they ask about it then be prepared to talk about it.
under the section Extensions & Interruptions, does having had a car accident that lead to a 1 year academic pause have to be included?
What was the reason you had to take a year off from the accident? legal or health?

You can but not having your diploma and ECFMG certificate might affect your chances of getting an interview

Should I put yes or no ?
It will appear in MSPE and medical transcript
That should fall under health reasons and they specified professional and academic issues as the reasons to answer yes.
