i know troy is a little pretentious sometimes, but i LOVE how much he appreciates all the little details of the game, even if it's something like voice cracks etc.

It's interesting to watch this AFTER playing the game. Love all the little attentions to detail in how the character's faces animate.
haha He does look one one of the pedestrians in that game. I'm not being biased because he's my favorite voice actor, too, but he's the best voice in the game when selecting a voice for your boss character.

I'm German and what I really hate about us Germans is the artificial produced seriousness...
I mean this is actually not a bad thing but in situations like this at the gamescom in cologne it is! Just a very few people are laughing or clapping and sadly the majority of the audience tries to stay calm and "serious"..sometimes I wish we could be more American, open and relaxed to things like this..
just sayin'..this video could have been so much better with the right audience.

This game looks freaking amazing
When I beat the game, I downloaded the "The making of the last of us" and saw Nolan, I was like, "who the hell did you voice". I was blown away that he voiced David, great stuff!

Yes he does not look like Joel exactly and she is not as young as Ellie but that's ok because they have the voice... and once you hear their voice you as the fan of the game will automatically love them at the lead in the movie...
This movie would be awesome, they could do things the game can't, it could be three times more scary... Man I would love this Movie.

Troy is such an awesome and intelligent guy.
It's pretty sad that some people don't know him for his work on Brothers in Arms who voices Matthew Baker. He doesn't even acknowledge it himself.
At first I thought Troy Baker was a bit of a 'tool', because he spent the first couple of minutes of the conference staring deep into his phone ignoring the video and crowd. But as soon as the intro finished he really got into it and saved the conference. He's very funny, intelligent and clearly knows a lot about the industry. So yeah! Not an asshole like I first thought.

Is it only me or does they act exactly how would Joel and Ellie would, if they were interviewed? like, you can see how Troy is main talker and in some point letting ashley talk without even the interviewer to ask her, and ashley is throwing a joke sometimes. feels like it IS Joel and Ellie!!!

Again with people saying that Troy is the new Nolan...they are both in the business, and Troy said in an interview that him and Nolan are drinking buddies, and that Nolan had tutored Troy with some things on being a voice actor and the business. Both are current and awesome guys.

Troy had a great response to what it would feel like to be afraid & feared all at the same time. At least that's what I got out of it.
Troy has stated many times how he wanted to be part of the Uncharted series. Well, he didn't get a role (so far), but it's still awesome that Naughty Dog offered him to star in this behemoth of a game. Seriously, The Last of Us is my most anticipated game for 2013 (I anticipate it even more than GTA5, Watch Dogs, the new Tomb Raider and Dead Space 3).
I love how Ashely is from the Killing I love that show.... and Troy Baker is awesome...

At 27:00 I can kinda like see Troy hinting on Ashley to answer the question for that. But still yeah, the audience was a let down. The game sure as hell wasn't though. I'm glad both of them managed to keep the Q&A alive though. Bravo

When I see Joel walk in The Last of Us, he walks a lot like you walk in Saints Row: The Third too, lol. I knew about Troy before that game, but that game was just the one that made me start liking him a lot more, lol.

I much prefer the crowd at the sac anime 2013, cuz Nolan and troy obviously had a blast.
The reason being is because Troy Baker is a voice actor. As for Ashley Johnson this is her first game she has ever done. She has no experience while Troy Baker does.
I know right !If I was there, I would at least throw in a few pity laughs - not that they would need it because they were trying to keep it as light and informal as possible whilst still providing important information for the purpose of the conference. The crowd were just not responsive to the tone that Troy and Ashley were trying to create. Bummer.

The Movie could come out some time after the Game.. and then the Blu-ray would release just in-time with The Last Of Us 2... for &79.95
So that way you can get the games part 2 with the movie... so a limited edition with a tin case with two disc inside, one movie one game - that would be so awesome...
I was absolutely terrified through the second half of my first playthrough that Ellie was going to die somehow. If they did kill Ellie, I probabaly would have destroyed my PS3.

kinda dumb questions- how does the dynamic change when other actor is in the scene, well unless youre really intimdated by said actor, it wouldnt matter to a good actor, who was with you, i remember nolan north saying , one time he thought that there would onl be a few people on set watching him, instead there was like a whole crowd, kind of shook hima little
So what! it's not like it hasn't happened before... Anyway I think they just have a great chemistry and respect for each other that's all.
