- Massive abandoned farmhouse originally built in 1850!. Explore #54
After looking up some town documents I found out after filming this location that the original house was built in 1850! I was way off as I was thinking 1920's. The original part was the small white house. You can see they put on 2 large additions probably in the 70’s.
This massive farmhouse has not been abandoned for very long and the property was used as a business. This house was left very clean and they didn't leave much behind. They boarded it up and will never return. I stopped by this house awhile ago but it was completely boarded up so I took some exterior pictures and left. I returned a month or so later and the doors were all open. Kids must have opened it up as this house is visible from a busy road. It looks like they just went in but didn't vandalize anything. There are plans to build some large warehouses on the property so I'm pretty sure this property will be cleared out to make room. Since this house is on the historic registry the original house may be saved and moved and I'm thinking the additions on the house would be demolished.
Thanks Rick for hooking me up with this location!

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

Thanks for all the background, very interesting! 😉
Your welcome B 😁
The walls of the original house appeared to be at least a foot thick. As it was built in 1850, the interior walls must have been plaster and the paneling added during the renovation. The house looked well built with fair to good appointments. The maintenance must have been pricy though. It seems like it would have cost alot for its upkeep. Great house tour.
Abandoned Urbex Canada They need to give time enough to gather reusable lumber
Thanks for the background info Brent, I hope the original house can be saved, it’s a beautiful property. I know things have to progress but all the same it’s so sad to see houses like this demolished.
The vacuuming wasn't surprising to me. Someone was very proud of that house and wanted to leave it nice. I would have done the same! Nice explore, thanks.
Couldn’t agree more. They took pride in the home they worked hard to create. Took care of it up to the very last second before the boards went up. I really respect that.
What a giant beautiful house, I can't believe that it's going to be torn down. How sad and what a waste. Thanks
Breaks my heart to think this will get torn down... such a nice house that just needs some TLC... TY for the amazing explore... :)))
Same here... yes, it is a nice looking house.
That is the cleanest empty house I have ever seen. I love it. The roof and windows look brand new.
There are many dumps but to sacrifice a home like this is crazy. Looks like they moved out yesterday.
Thank you for the nice explore.
I am MADLY in love with that place, it's GORGEOUS! What a crying shame that ANY part of it will be knocked down, additions or not. It's absolutely stunning. Thanks for the tour! xo
I agree with you ! I love the house also. I hate that it's going to be torn down. 😖
Feeling the same Stephanie Smith😔
I believe the owners appreciated the home, they took care of it and boarded it up. I like all the wood in the place. Wood holds up better than wallpaper and paint (if taken care of). Paint flakes off and wallpaper comes loose. Wood can weather time, more so. Anyways it will be a waste if demolished. Thank you for your time exploring and uploading and enjoy your week
Gorgeous place!!! Have never seen a more emaculate house!!! The owner was very loving toward this house❤️Beautiful property!!! Loved all of the storage space! You don’t see that now!!! Granite sink surrounds in upstairs bathrooms. The beautiful wood paneling on the walls that were true wood, not laminate wood! Gorgeous! Sad that this place can’t be saved 😞Thank you Brent, for bringing us the gorgeous home❤️
What a beautiful, well cared for home! It looks like it was full of happiness with all the spring colors. Love all the wood. It would have been very sad to have to sell it and to have it torn down. Thanks for sharing your visit. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I seriously hope they salvage stuff inside, especially the windows. Another awesome explore!! Thank you Brent! 👍😊❤️
Believe me or not but I believe the original section of this house is a turn-of-the-century log cabin if you look at the thickness of the walls it's a dead giveaway.
If my suspicions are correct, it's definitely unfortunate.
There's a large salvage company based near Toronto, they had a TV show last summer and they would go in and Salvage buildings before they get demolished and they actually found a turn-of-the-century log cabin hidden underneath one section of the house, this house shares a lot of characteristics to the one from the show.
My aunt's house was like that.
Documents show it was built in 1850 as a gothic revival cottage. Your could be right!
Usually the windows in a log cabin have windows set different than these windows . They have windows that are set deep from the outside , not the inside .
Beautiful old place, Brent. Thanks for the video and thanks to Rick for getting you involved. Must've been seniors living there - vacuuming and cleaning when leaving is a trademark of people who appreciated the place.
I just discovered your channel last week. I am watching a few episodes every night until I’m caught up. One thing I find really sad is in so many videos you mention a lot of these houses are going to be torn down due to development. And it’s so sad because most of these places are out in the middle of nowhere and they’re going to be turned into strip malls and subdivisions. Sounds like a lot of countryside is vanishing up there 😭
Thanks for finding me Susan 😁👍
What an immaculate place! Agreed that the house was very partitioned with no flow. I luved the wood in there, it seemed very warm and the honey coloring was nice. The stone in original foundation was beautiful! All of this was of course filmed so well!!! You have such a skill and craft when doing these explores, I really can't say enough about how enjoyable it is to watch them!! Thank you VERY Much for sharing and taking us along! 🏠 🏡🏠 🏡
Thank you very much B this is very nice to say 😁❤️
Its an amazing house, I can't imagine tearing down a perfect house.
I totally agree. I would love to have that place. That is the problem with today's generation, THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN RESPECTING & PRESERVING ANTIQUITIES. Many young people treat old buildings & old people the same, they're just something, for the young people to ignore, then abandon & then get rid of when they think they are of no use to them anymore...☹
Thought the same thing - makes no sense tearing down a House Like That at all.
Two houses were destroyed next door to me to widen the road. One was a widow that was devastated and my neighbor was happy to sell hers. It was a big house. It is a shame.
I agree!! Why tear down houses that are still livable? The little bit to fix it where it might need it,,could sure save a lot of money that they tear it down with!
I have a 100 year old house that my great great grandparents built, it has been in here since 1920 went to my great grandparents, then my grandparents,,then my mother and father, and now I own it, I am 56 years old
Thankyou Brent, I think that you topped yourself with this one. I personally think that this house is so magnificently beautiful! Thankyou again. I don't want it torn down, all of these historical places are not going to be here soon. Our grandchildren will almost never be able to see places like this, what a shame.
I just starting watching your videos and love how you do them. You move through each room in order as though I was there going to all the rooms at a steady pace. Love that!! Other explorers get so hung up on items they forget to show the room or don't look up - you show all the room and move along so it isn't boring....THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I will continue watching your videos - thanks for taking the time to show all the rooms and moving along.
Thanks so much Debra! 😁
Another great explore! Beautiful place. Thanks for taking us along with you.
Great explore. Beautiful large home. Thanks for sharing ♥️
Hopefully someone will take the wood out of that house before it's demolished.
Christine Laver .....I noticed that the builder laid out room dimensions to keep lumber on 12” widths and prob 9’ - 12’ heights. Enough to build another house from this lumber. Doors and windows possibly reusable. I hope that the lumber can be saved.
Beautiful!! So sad to see them tear it down, thank you for sharing!!
This is a beautiful big house. Thanks for the visit.
Really huge house. Not crazy about some of the colors. Thanks so much for the explore Brent 😃👍
The part of the video where the pool was shown made me sad. I thought of all the people who had lived, laughed & loved there. I wonder if the original owners were buried in a cemetery near there. What happened to the last people that lived there and all the people in between. I hope they see this video or someone lets them know about it.
Thanks brett for sharing with me this video about the Massive abandoned farm house originally built in 1850 it was a really nice farm house and i really enjoyed this video as well as and i can't wait to watch more of your video and God Bless and thanks again and be safe and healthy my friend and thanks again.
Really nice clean explore. The former owners were thoughtful. A nice house by any standard.
Thank you very much for showing us this lovely well cared for home! Love the wooden walls also, along with the large rooms and a bit of "Old home" tucked in the middle. Charming! Bless you for your skill in exploring these properties! Very enjoyable! Stay safe!
Thank you so much Linda
And they're going to tear it down? What is wrong with them? That house is very livable.
It is, certainly. But it's likely that whomever bought the house - or rather, the land - would make more money demolishing the house and building tract housing on it. He mentions at the beginning that the area is being rapidly developed, so I highly doubt that it would be an individual, but an investment/property/housing company that bought it.
I’m thinking they will save just the original part
If you went in the daytime, it would be easier to see
I agree
It seems like Canada is w throw away society. Sad. Hope someone can reclaim the floors and salvage the lights what ever. If if you have an auction. But people dint have the time for that anymore. It is easier to bull doze it down than take the work to get the good things out of the home.
@Deborah Davis great idea
But like you said it would cost a lot of money. And hard work. Long hours. A lot of Canadians find that too hard. That is why a lot of places of business are bought by foreigners who are willing to put in the hours. J.m.o.
Exactly what I said at the very beginning. - WOW!! Best wishes from upstate NY!
Such a beautiful farmhouse, love all the room inside, the spacious bedrooms and the three kitchens this should work out for three to four families that are related to each other, such a great loss, let's not forget the pool, such an awesome place!!
Brent that was beautiful! I love the wood and it was so big!! Thank you for the explore!
Take care and be safe!!
😷🤗😘🥰
WOW What a beautiful house,I would live there in a heartbeat. Great video Thank-you
This house is so big and gorgeous. Shame they are tearing it down. Thank you for sharing. Have a great evening.
Another great video..thank you!!
Wow, what a gorgeous house, love the woodwork, just so massive. So hope house can be saved
& not demolished.
Excellent job - thank you!
I love how you do your research! Thanks for sharing! I love this stuff!
Absolutely incredible. So beautiful.. love all the wood😍
Wow!! This house is absolutely stunning! I am in love with the wood walls. I can just imagine this home full of life, memories made, Christmas and family dinners. What a shame to know its going to be demolished
What a beautiful home the older homes are better built and look so much better then the new ones thank you for sharing 😊
Awesome explore! I hope they salvage all the wood! Thank you Brent!
We really need to start saving more of these heritage homes from destruction. Developers don’t care, they are in it for the money! Preserving our heritage should be the #1 priority. Whether someone moves the houses to a safer location free of developers or designate more homes a heritage sight something more needs to be done to save our history. The more homes that are demolished the more we lose the craftsmanship, history and ambiance of these beautiful creations that span many decades. Often, with the same family residing in these homes for decades, the history lost forever with the single swing of a sledge hammer....historical and old buildings are too often overlooked and forgotten! Thanks Brent, for reminding us and sharing memories of these long lost locations! Stay safe!
Thanks Garrett 😁
Beautiful...love the woodwork...beautiful stone fireplace....❤
What an awesome house, but sad that it will be torn down... great video, thanks for showing it!
Really enjoyed this tour. Beautiful wood floors and all the rooms were huge. Thanks for the background information. Too bad it’s going to be taken down. Sure hope a lot of it gets salvaged.
Tack 🙏🏻 för ännu en spännande 😊 video 👍🏻🇸🇪
I just love the wood work and the fireplace so much!
I love that house, great explore!!
That’s a big beautiful house. I never saw a room just for a bathtub before. Thank you for the explore!
Older homes are the best built! With a few changes/updates, this would be a lovely home! Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏼🇺🇲
Lovely!!
What a "clean" house! Yes, I got lost or misplaced as you explored this home. I'm saddened to know destruction is in the future, but hopefully the beautiful wood will live again in a home somewhere else. Awesome exploring!!! Great drone pics, too!
Wow,absolutely gorgeous inside
Absolutely gorgeous house!
Seeing this now. What a stunning house. More like a mansion. Gives me great ideas if I ever build.
What an awesome house and how sad that it’s going to be destroyed. Thanks for the tour. Really nice video. “Greed disguised as progress”. ☹️☹️☹️
Awesome, loved this place.
Absolutely beautiful. Stunning architecture. The older the better. 👍😊
To start off, i love your intro and music. I love how you present the properties and i hope to watch many more explores with you! Its so sad that ppl are forced to sell there homes to developers!

Beautiful move in ready home.
What a beautiful home. I would love to live in a home like that....gorgeous.
I started looking at abandoned videos 4 years ago 2016 in Dec my brother unexpectedly passed away in Nov 2016 and it took my mind of it. When I see older homes some of them remind me of my Grand parents home. It sits abandoned now. Where some apartments are going to be built. What memories we made there wonderful memories. So I look at this home and think how old it is and how many wonderful memories must have been made there. Maybe that is way they cleaned it because they loved it.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Thanks for watching 😁
Amazing house Brent...
wow super clean of all
COOL FIND!!
I remember watching Rick's video. Ot broke my heart thT house is gorgeous. So sad to see such beautiful woodwork destroyed. I wish I could buy it.
Huge house! I'd be lost in it! Love those field stone foundations. They don't make them like that anymore (not around here anyway) and the beams!! Loved the new windows.. with the big inside sills.. Almost looks like additions were done every 10 years.. I see 60s and 70's for sure..then 2000s. My grandparents owned this over 100 year old hotel.. and it had the tub in one room and the toilet sink in another..I'm assuming to accommodate many people.. That house is big enough for quite a few! Probably only had one bathroom for 15 people at one time. *** I have the exact same Sony tv down in the basement.. hoping I can suck someone on kijiji to take it..Damn thing does work!! ( I don't wanna have to haul it up the stairs..going down was bad enough 20 yrs ago.) haha Thank you again for the tour!! I enjoy watching your videos! Have a good one Brent!!
I really liked that house, especially the yellow section. Beautiful old house
Felicitaciones nuevamente las reitero por esos lugares tan lindos y que pena que estén abandonados y te felicito con que seriedad y cuidado haces los Urbex sigue así suerte!!!!🙋🙋🇦🇷
Nice one buddy!! This is a very nice house inside. Crazy beautiful. Keep up the great explores. 👍😀
Thanks Wade! 😁👍

Awesome video!!
Thanks!
Great video♥♥♥♥ ... Your so amazing
just wanted to say thanks for the videos
Hey thanks 😁👍
Thank you 👍👍👍
Thanks for another great explore. This home appears to have been well taken care of. I wouldn’t have vacuumed either after receiving money from the developers.
Beautiful home really sad that it's being demolished . I think this is my favorite house now but it sure had some wild wall paper.
Wow what a gorgeous find. Sad to see that torn down.
Those stones in the foundation were beautiful!
Great old house
Wow, So Nice!, And full of knotty Pine wood!,Sure hope someone saves that! Another great video Brent!
These houses are crazy nice. I'd so move back to Ontario to live there. Love Love the block staircase, wood makes me smile.....I should say in a house hehehe
Good explore Brent...imagine the hands that built that old brick wall and fashioned those big wooden beams...each explore is a step into the past...awesome !
Thank you Wanda!
Beautiful house I love the woodwork it is so beautiful , I hope that the wood and the windows are salvaged for another house .
100% fascinating. I love the music at the end.
Thank you 😁
What a great place... Let's restore and move in 😁 Thank's for the tour around Brent - You really find some great place's 😍 Thank's for you... Take Care - Love and Hugs 💕🇩🇰
Thank you Bettina!
Except for one rusty toilet, the bathrooms were shiny clean (can’t help notice). One of the cleanest houses I’ve seen you go in. I always enjoy your tours. Take care 🇨🇦 ❤️
I think that is the cleanest house yet in all your explorations. That is exactly how I left any house that we sold; spit spot! Even cleaned the windows and cupboards. Remember the movie Fiddler on the Roof and Golda as they were leaving their village. "I will not leave a dirty house".
So so so so heartbreaking to know they might tear it down...I would be in heaven with that home
It always makes me so sad to think these lovely old houses end up getting demolished. So very sad.
Cool video 👍nice abandoned job
Thank you 😁
I wish we knew more about those who owned the place and lived here. Just seems like a place happy grandkids go for summer visits. So much room to play and run and then there's the pool. Even all that was put in, in the 70s is as clean and well cared for as the day it went in. I'm glad I got to see it, thank you for showing us the place. 🤍
Love u video and i enjoy watching them keep them comeing so sad to see the house s left just a shame it cost a lot of money to put right
