Beyoncé stepping into “country” actually gave highlight to many many of the black Americans who were already there… I’ve discovered new artist like Tanner Adele… I actually downloaded her album weeks ago… before Bey’s album… let’s go!

But let's look at the down side to Beyonce style country.? Country music will change from what it is. It will change from what it already is..
And what more can you add ? Exactly what Beyonce did to jolene. Jolene gotta be smoked. A gang term for shooting someone.
Simply because someone wants to leave a realastionship. Don't mean they deserve to die.? But Beyonce says she gonna smoke jolene. And in the video Beyonce has a machine gun shooting at helicopters.? Who's in the helicopter police..???
When you take the wholesome alternative of a country song ? And you replace it with a violent spin...! You turned it into the same ol crapp you hear on the other stations.... Black folks need to quit bring gang thug violence into everything.. That mentality isn't country its city life...! Country Black folks and country white folks are alot the same. We appreciate simplicity.

Yea Beyoncé isn’t the first black country singer but she shined light on those that have been struggling to make it in the industry. I don’t really care much for Beyoncé personally but I can’t deny her influence. As soon as she announced her new genre my insta was filled with black country singers I followed instantly. I didn’t even like country music but I felt propelled to support those artist and surprisingly I’m now vibing to them.

leave heavy metal out of this conversation. black sabbath created it on February 11th, 1970 when their 1st album was released. as a genre we are separate from all that pop/hip-hop/country lip synching American idol, the voice no talent bullshit. it's the best music with the passionate, loyal and engaged fan base on earth.....oh they actually play instruments and perform live on stage. what a concept😂

In college, I took a music class and the teacher had Blues and Jazz in a section and Country and Bluegrass in another. I told her how it made absolutely no sense to basically segregate this music because Bluegrass and Blues build into one another making Country itself and that this felt like just a black week of class.
She immediately paused and obviously pushed back. However, she did announce to me and the rest of the class later in the semester. After asking her friends and colleagues (roll my eyes) they all told her I was correct and she was wrong for not tying the two genres into one another and going forward she was going to incorporate the genres. Obviously, never took the course again so unsure if she followed through but at least my class was told what was what.

I remember that moment where Beyonce performed Daddy Lessons with the Dixie Chicks and I was ENRAGED. That milk toast audience was so disrespectful I couldn't even believe it!! I thought "It just never ends" the bias & gate keeping never ends, if the impeccable Beyonce isn't welcomed on a CMA stage - then no one of color is. What does that say about not just the industry but America as a whole, nothing good that's certain. Beyonce being the crazy (and crazy talented) petty Virgo that she is, is the perfect person to shove it right back in their faces!! And. I. LOVE. IT. This is the only time in my life I would consider attending the CMA's - only if Beyonce is nominated. If you're NOT a POS racist American you need to openly support Bey on this bcz is brilliant. ✌️🧡🌈🤠

I am an African (Nigerian) immigrant living in the US, and I always appreciate any opportunity to learn about black American history from the true source!
I'm a lurker on your channel Justin for the top value entertainment, but this was very enriching and it IS bigger than Beyoncé. I think my pain is that I wish less heard artists would have an opportunity to shine instead of heaping it all on the plate of those who already have too much like Beyoncé in my opinion. I wish she had featured more "unknowns" - we need more black unknowns in all the spaces they've explicitly or implicitly excluded black people.

Beyoncé takes the table she has BUILT and INVITES OTHERS who were not welcome or celebrated to come to sit and feast at the table! Be sure you give a listen to the Black female and Black male country artists she features on this album. HELP MAKE what you wish for come true.

I’m overall just proud of Bey for pushing outside of boundaries that others have tried to keep her contained in. She knows who she is and what she wants and she’s going after it. For the folks saying they don’t like her for X, Y, and Z reason that’s okay but just know it’s not on her to dim her light just to make you feel comfortable with her or her music and as we can see she’s still successful either way so you don’t have to announce you don’t like her every time she’s mentioned 😂. I don’t like a lot of folks but I don’t feel a need to announce it.

She should have called K Michelle because baybay K Michelle did her big one on her country album

    • @url0veang3l

      That would have been beautiful.
It seems like she wanted to feature other black artists who don't have the same exposure to an audience that her and K. Michelle found success in.
I'm going to listen to K. Michelle's album now. I didn't realize she had already released it. I've been excited to hear it and her yodel since her R&B Money interview.

It’s not racism, there are plenty of respected black country artists, she just isn’t singing country, just pop with a hint of country.

It's really refreshing ... I get what she just did. She just changes genres again and they got mad... so she drop the visuals and about go get this money again. This lady is truly ... necessary

Let’s speak into existence Justin being the owner of his own production company providing his gift for a hefty price for box office big budget movies. He is worth it. Justin when my prayer comes to fusion please invite me and my family to all of your major events and award ceremonies. It will come to past. When I pray God answers them. God don’t play about me.💪🏾🙏🏾
