Vi had to take a moment to calm down so that she wouldn't hurt Powder again. Vi is a strong character, however, she does not know how to handle her emotions properly, fight first and ask questions after, she communicates better with her fists better than she does with with words. This episode really established this show of being one unlike any other.
A therapist reacting to this episode said vi removing herself to calm down and not be violent was the smartest and healthiest thing to do. But unfortunately she didnt get to come back after....
Finally someone who gets it instead of saying she just left, sure she did but in her pov its good she did for a bit to settle, especially after she saw powders blood on her fist
Also a point most people don't realise is what effect the situation had on her psyce. Thus is just a situation wher you can't be rational. It swiches of your brain. I lost my brother when I was 20 and when I found out my logical thinking just swiched off. Looking back this was like beeing a completely different person.
8:43 powder had this panic attack because she had extreme abandonment issues. maybe also autophobia (fear of being by yourself). even before everything in this episode happened, she was extremely traumatized. when she found out she accidentally killed her entire adoptive family, all she asked was "why did you leave me?" she's unhealthily attatched to vi. even back when her biological parents died, she looked more sad about how it made her sister feel. vi walking away from her there was her worst fear coming true. she hugged silco so aggressively because she would rather love someone like him then be completely alone.
she wanted to prove herself to vi so desperately which is why she went there with the hextech thing even though she didnt really have a plan
also, as soon as i saw milo's character design i knew he wouldnt live very long. like his features were so exagerated i couldnt imagine an aged version of him and i think he was annoying as hell cause they didn't want us too attatched 😭
Or she could just be on the spectrum?
Whatever the reasons I'm amazed at how realistic it was. I used to flip out just like that or worse when I was a kid. I 100% understood the inability to release the intensity of the anger/fear/hatered/sadness/confusion/doubt Powder was feeling at that moment. It was wierd seeing it 3rd person. In fact because of that scene I went and apologized to my mom for being such a brat 30+ years ago and putting her through hell.
@@sen.garyhart4239 yeah powder very much could be autistic. i am also. i do think that specific moment was because of her trauma, but being autistic couldve increased the intensity of what she was feeling. when i was younger, i rarely had meltdowns (i had autistic "shutdowns" instead), so i didnt think about it.
@@sen.garyhart4239 also, i wouldnt say u were a brat haha. u couldnt control how u felt and its not your fault. u needed a release somehow and there wasnt as much information about autism then as there is now.
Vander: - Vi, Take care of Powder
Vi: - " VERY STRONG caring punch in the face"
Vander tried to warn Vi:
“When people look up to you, You. Don’t. Get. To. Be. Selfish.”
The entire outcome at the end of episode 3 is the result of Vi repeatedly making selfish decisions.
always thought it was a slap and not a punch
@@emmanuelmartindale8309 It was a slap
that slap gagged the hell out of me i had to pause and walk around my room for a bit
I can understand you reacting like that. However, notice how Powder reacts... she doesn't ask "Why did you hit me?", it's: "Why did you *leave* me?" - that is FAR more important to her.
Facts. It wasn't because I thought it was bad writing but because I could UNDERSTAND why Vi reacted like that. When she ran away to cool off it messed me up bc that was absolutely the right thing to do but I also knew how traumatized Powder was so I was anxious as hell. And then her ass got taken away lorddddd this episode still messes me up
Scoot: I want there to be death in this show.
Arcane: oh SAY LESS
dude i love rewatching shows with scoot! he's a top tier reactor it literally feels like you're watching tv with a friend lol
Agreed. Never enjoyed watching someone watch stuff before. I started watching MLP with him since it's my favorite childhood show and seeing him watch my all time favorite piece of media, Arcane, is a treat from heaven
OH GOD NO NOT EPISODE 3
Favorite episode
I took a break from watching arcane at episode 2 then I came back 2 months later and watched episode 3…I was NOT prepared
@@walrusesarecute1 real
@@wafflesaur3218 RIGHT LMAO IT'S TRAUMATIC
Vi didn't think Powder killed everyone when she saw the monkey head. Vi has never seen any of Powder's bombs work and even if they did no way they could do that. She did, however, know Powder was there and was likely killed as well.
You wanted those bodies. You got bodies.
Careful what you wish for.
Loved that you literally paused and said "No, I don't want to see this" when Powder walked around the corner. Perfectly channeled the universal stomach drops we all felt knowing how devastating this scene was about to get.
THIS SERIES SO GOOD ❤
Have no fear, the show does stick the landing and maintains/increases quality throughout.
This episode HIT! I know you're finished with this already but I CANNOT WAIT to see your reaction to episodes 7 and 9. The third act of this show bangs so hard
This is my favorite episode of the show. It’s absolutely and unequivocally flawless
Damn Arcane is GOOD SHIT FOR REAL
i love scoots reactions LOL
This episode is just 😳 wow wow 😭
My reaction at the start of ep 1 where he says he hopes people die: 😈 hehe...3....
AND NOWWW IT REALLLY STARTS
Great reaction! This episode hits hard!
I cannot believe Vi watched her whole family die. Man I would’ve seen RED finding out powder was the cause. I know powder is a Kid but SO IS VI. Depressing as hell
This episode always comes as a surprise to me...
Poor Pow-Pow
It’s sooooo fkn goood
be prepared for the next episode cuh
Notification gang 😎
I may be way off but what I put together was that the prologue in episode 1 (the battle on the bridge) was the under city warring against top side. When Vander saw that the war orphaned children (Vi and Powder's parents getting killed) he couldn't keep going and stopped the attack to take the kids away. After the attack failed and he became the parent of Vi and Powder, he realized Silco would never stop and tried to kill him by drowning him in the river.
The river drowning took place before the bridge battle. Watch the flashback scenes carefully: both Silco and Vander appear much younger. Vander himself says that he was the violent one in the past.
I saw that chatter, gooner arm is crazy and you're going to hell fr
Hey
RAHHHHHHHHHHHHJHH

First here❤
If Powder didn't do anything they would have escaped bro. L Powder
However, Silco would probably have sent more shimmer-powered people to hunt them down and start a civil war in Zawn.
They would not have escaped.
The hole Claggor made in the wall was several stories up; the fall was enough to kill a shimmered up Vander. How exactly were they going to get safely down before Deckard broke the door open?
It was one story, and Vander got messed up bad
the fall aint kill vander bru, the multiple stab wounds, explosion, rubble falling on him, etc likely did most of the work. ffs later we see Vi, injured, tank what looked to be a hundred foot fall in episode 5. Not to say powder aint make the arguable best decision she could've in that situation, but the fall wasn't going to be the reason they didnt escape.@@robertwise2032
