Opera on the River

The Whanganui concert was staged aboard the paddle steamer 'Waimarie', moored at its jetty, with the audience invited to picnic with blankets, cushions and low picnic chairs along the river bank.
"A large screen was set up for close-ups of the performers, the sound system was spectacular, and the concert is an absolute one-off - purely to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the school.
