Hi, thank you for sharing. I setup everything as your setup. VPN works on openwrt terminal but Wifi clients show still the real IP and not the VPN IP. Could you please help me?
Hello, try using the different settings under 'special mode' one by one and see if they help. What's your aim here? To completely hide your IP or to unblock websites? I've tested the setup in multiple locations and there was one time where the IP was still leaking, but the websites were all unblocked anyway.
@@darius6112 Thank you for your reply. I appreciate it. Actually I would like to prepare an Access point to bypass the filtering in my country. It should send all traffics through v2raya2 for wifi clients such as mobile and laptop.
@@MasoudTehrani-h9s Are you testing your clients by connecting to the v2raya via WiFi or ethernet? Please try both and see if both ways are still leaking the IP address
@@darius6112 I installed openwrt on a D-Link Repeater. I cannot test the ethernet because the repeater has only one LAN port, and I use it for connecting to main router. On openwrt terminal V2raya does what it should, but Wifi connected device not. I think I should find a Firewall/Routing rule to send the WiFi traffic to V2raya. Thank you anyway.

hi, thanks for your useful tutorial when i going to myip2017 i get this error "Downloading missing geoip.dat and geosite.dat; refresh the page later. 正在下载缺失的 geoip.dat 和 geosite.dat,请稍后刷新页面。" what can be problem? can you help me please
Thanks for your video. I have installed this and working quite good. The only problem is that I only need to route this v2ray vpn connection through a single wifi connection. But this way two of my wifi connections and lan connection all have the VPN connection. Do you know how to achieve my goal? Thanks in advance.
Do you only have one router? The purpose of this video was to maintain your original router and install v2raya on a secondary router so like you said, you have 1 router with no VPN connection, and 1 router with a VPN connection
@@darius6112I do have 2 routers. I have installed openwrt on my secondary router. It hs 3 radio bands. 2 AC and one b/g/n. I need 1 of those AC wifi connection to use this vpn connection. The other AC and b/g/n and LAN should use my main isp connection. Is there possible way to achieve this?
I have installed on Linskys EA8300 and EA8500. The EA8500 is a more powerful router, but it has less storage space so you need to use an external USB stick. I would recommend the EA8300 as it is easier to install and is cheaper, but is still very powerful
Thanks. Going to try this tomorrow. Any idea if this works well in China Mainland?
Only one way to find out buddy!
