Just found this cover, and I must say good job! I am glad I stayed to the end of the video, because I would not have guessed you were from the UK. I thought I detected a hint of US Southern accent, which is an interesting and welcome characterization for Sweet. Also glad you didn't fall into the trap that Ihave seen most other covers do with interpreting Sweet.

This is interesting. Technically fantastic, it shows a great range in your voice and great control. At the same time there are rhythmic issues (that you cover well, it's not that you don't have a groove, but you came in early on 'all those hearts' and missed the punctuation on 'to get a soft shoe in'), and I think you should have been more liberal with fry and growl. He is a demon after all, and it can really sell the characterization. Plus it sounds cool. It's great towards the end of the piece but could be used more throughout to accent certain lines (specifically 'great big smile', 'I'm here', 'invocation', 'let it out', 'I come a-runnin'', 'I bring the fun in', 'that's what it's all about', 'way too strong', 'but a song', 'you will be my queen', 'I'll make it real girl', 'still have time', and 'I'm at the griddle').
I know it sounds like a lot but I guess what I'm saying is that the performance shows off your ability to sing, and even in this style, but misses out on performing the song itself. If you pay attention to the specific song and how you can amplify the semantics of it with your voice, that is already very capable, you'll get better results. Even though the results are already very good, I don't want to sound too negative.
I agree! As part of the everyday challenge I am doing I don’t get the time I would usually have to spend breaking down a song and getting certain elements I would like to! But I would usually spend more time on those parts if performing them in a live show etc xxx
