Has anyone heard from Forest? Is he alright?
I came here to ask the same thing, hope he’s alright
@@ryansmith3638I've heard he is alright. Just too busy to make new content. A guy in a FB group said that. He heard it from a friend of a friend.
@@fpjeepy05hope he’s doing great if he’s too busy. Being too busy plus just getting by sucks.
I came to check up on him too.
Hope all is well with ya, man. You are one of the best channels on UA-cam right now!
What happened? Really liked this channel.
Forrest, we need part 2....don't do this to us. Please.
Please, Forrest.
I'm hear doing the same thing I don't understand how this guy doesn't have a TBN style following I think he better than that group cause he's actually keeping it simple getting poor folks like us on the water for cheep. Hope he's doing Okey
Been patiently waiting for another amazing video. Any updates? And seriously your build videos are so good. Thank you
I am currently in Tech school for Marine technician. Thanks for all the content and ideas. I look forward to your vids we sometimes watch them as a class because of the creativity. THANKS AGAIN !!
Are you still going to make more videos?, it inspires me ti work on my project
No posts in a few months. Really enjoyed your content. Hope all is well.
This is a great channel buddy. Always something interesting to work on and always upbeat personality. Don’t change a thing. It’s perfect
I live in western Colorado and always wanted a boat, but they aren't very popular where I live. But I ended up buying a 1975 deep v with the original evinrude 85 2 stroke. From the original owner. I restored the entire boat and did all of the upholstery myself and the woodworking. It's a real head turner now. And I learned how to do everything watching UA-cam videos
Don't tease me with that seacraft short, I need to see that full video! I love your work btw man I'm sure this is gonna go far for you. Videos have been amazing
I've been watching your vids for a few months. Before I never would've picked up a boat that needed work. You make it look possible and somewhat fun. Just picked up a lil skiff that I can't wait to start working on. Keep up the vids man. Good work!
I'm doing kind of the same thing to my catamaran skiff here in Italy. This channel has helped me so much since I started following it. Keep it up🤙
Perfect timing...I'm putting my boat on hard in November to do all decking and roof of pilot house.
What happen to my ifs all made of foam then laminate with fiber?😢
Hmmm familiar hull 🤔 that’s one sweet skiff! People are gonna get tons of good info from this series of vids! Tony approves meng! 🤣
Hahaha. Thanks Mr. Fun-tana ! Glad you enjoy buddy!! Cheers!
Part 2 let's go 😀😇🥰
I`ve had boats of one form or another, all my life .
My last fishing boat, I stripped the hull, and started over .
Love your channel .
Been building boats for 7 years in Texas south coast looking to move to Florida for some more experience
Bring it! We'd love to have some like minded Texans here in Florida. Maybe you sane conservatives can offset the liberal New Yorker influx. And I'll show you where to catch fish! Cheers 🍻
🌴Ahhh yes another gem 😆👍🏼 ,but the forward console is a great idea ! Plus the deck in front were you could cast net or fish off of , as for the bare wood 😖 ya some of the boat builders back in the day were a bit unscrupulous, you boys got your work cut out for ya .It’s gonna be fun getting the A-B foam in the center tunnel but it should stiff’n it up , smart idea replacing the bulkheads those plywood one’s were toast , when this boat is done it’s gonna last a lot longer than it’s previous 25 yrs , and it’s almost guaranteed that it’s gonna be alot more fun to use ! Hope the nice weather holds out 😎 guy’s , can’t wait to her done 👍🏼👊🏼
Thanks so much Dave! I always appreciate your input / insight and great energy buddy! I’m excited to share the remainder of the build, I think you’ll dig it! And you’re spot on, boat will be a lot more fun , durable, long lasting and a bit more efficient as well! Cheers my friend!
Ok. I’m fully attentive now. I will look for the next one. Throw in the B roll stuff too. 👍
What a rad boat! These smaller power catamarans are awesome. I have a 14ft Livingston with a little half cabin on the front out here in Southern California, and it is a badass boat for its size. I've taken it out to the Channel Islands many times, 25+ miles offshore, and have never felt unsafe in it. That 18ft'er looks super capable! Also they do really well with weight up front to help keep the bow down in waves/chop, so your buddy wanting a forward console is making a good choice 👍
Niceeee.. Another Cat... Great to see how manufactures even dont glass in the bulkheads properly.. it goes to show those extra hours doing that will allow you to get soo much more years out of the boat.. #Yeaaaaaaa Buddyyyyy
Looking good Forest keep up the good work
Nice skinny water boat. Great job.
Love these full build vids.
So many big projects!
Yes! Another build! Keep ‘‘em coming! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
would be an exciting boat to take in big seas :)
I'm shopping for a twin vee project hull at the moment. I like this bullynet style build, and I am looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Great video as usual!!!!
Waiting on a new video
Awesome video
Love the channel.
Diy boats rock.
I am looking for a recriational work boat. Day trips with the wife and kid, fishing with my brother and his dog.
Got a 15hp long shaft for a steal and now looking dor a hull on the 18 to 24ft range. Any ideas?
Beautiful hull!
Love the videos!
Thanks so much Michael! Always appreciate your channel support! Cheers!
this is a great channel.
Very Cool. Thx. Does moving the console so far forward change everything reguarding weight distribution? How do you design the layout and placement of batteries/tanks, seating, etc without putting it on the water?
Can you do a skiff to big water boat build? Turn a boat to a raised bow big water boat.
man just found this channel and watched all the videos and now no more.very sad
That boat lasted that long so I wouldn't be too critical on that construction method lots of boats used wood cores and wood composites now we have better options those didn't exist back then.
Hope you didn’t get lost crossing to Bermuda!!!
Where is the new content????
Can you make a video on how to get a get a homemade boat registered?
Will there be a 2nd video to this. I have a 16' in this model that i am getting ready to restore and would love to see how yall handled this one.
Hi there, yes it actually will be the NEXT upload 😎👍🏼 I hope you enjoy it! Cheers!
@diywaterworld awesome looking fwd to it. Keep up the awesome videos!
Can we get a welfare check on Forest?
Hey pal so I have a Carolina skiff that needs some love. I'm on the west coast in Tampa bay. How do I get ahold of you to possibly have you fix it up as I watched a past post and you said you'd be doing work to tour viewers boats. I'd be very blessed if I can get on a list or something and possibly have a chance to have you help me turn this 98 17 Carolina skiff into my dream boat.
What year is this hull? Were they better constructed after no being made in Mexico anymore ?
Go love cats of any brand
Does he sell these boats? Or just build a bunch of toys for fun
I may have missed it, but what kind of hull is this!?
Hi there, no worries. It’s a Seagull Nautico 18’ . Cheers!
@@diywaterworld I wish I could get you a downeast or novi/baby cape skiff to overhaul.
They're nothing special but a staple to the northeast and So different from the boats down there and what I've seen you experiment on.
