Love your page man. I watch it often. Takes me back! I am 37 and used to play these games all of the time! Bad ass to see them and hear that music! Oh and your speed runs are holy crap amazing!
been learning from this run and also started watching yoour streams. when i saw the burrito speedrun i was like oh shit i knew i recognized this guy. God bless ya homie you are one of a kind for sure
I closed Twitch probably minutes before this happened, so I missed it. HUGE congrats on squeezing even more out of your already-exceptional PB! Putting Castlevania to rest for a while with this time is wonderful and something to be proud of! Great run, and hard earned! The only problem is when you come back to this game, this is going to be a tough time to beat!
Argus, you the man. Been watching ur videos since it popped up on my phone. You're amazing at all the games you play. Nintendo my favorite game system. Love it
Oh hell yeah. 1, 2, and 3 each introduced a great opening track (Vampire Killer from 1, Bloody Tears from 2, and Beginning from 3) and plenty of great supporting tracks as well. Some of my fave video game music of all time, check out metal versions as well if you're into that. ;)
I was born in 1983 . I remember playing this game when i was 3 or 4 years old..I have a brother who is 8 years older than me..He had a Nintendo and sega and games ..Watching you play brings back memories ..Id rather watch you play than me ever play these games again..You should do Renegade..
I remember castlevania from my young days. Being the most unforgiving game with no save or level restart. I never finished it. Well done timeracing it and hats off to you SIR! And btw nice hat and that huge drinking vessel of yours 🍺
You make it look so easy then i get all fired up to go give it a try and get rekt lol. Great videos man you seem like an outstanding man. Edit- your mustache is legendary
I posted 3 days ago saying I can't beat this game after watching this video a billion times and some praying I finally beat it and you make it look to easy lol I been trying for 30 years
Wow, learned so much in this. One of my all time favorite games and so many tricks to learn still! Gonna have to look into how you ohko the bat and mummies! Fantastic work!
This guy absolutely deserves a million subs! Other gamers wont stfu while playing and you cant enjoy the game. Its annoying as hell! But this guy is great! 👍
Really like your retro video game runs makes me wish I could play them hopefully they bring them to the switch. Anyways hope you keep the videos coming man awesome work!!!
I watched your Ninja Gaiden run and thought this dude is awesome... BUT I would have gave you a run for your money playing this game when I was a teenager,, I can remember smashing this game 4 times in one hour,, I showed my friends how to beat the different bosses using different weapons,, meaning I fought each boss 4 different times, using a different weapon each time,, speed running wasn’t much of a big thing back in late 80’s & early 90’s ... but I was pretty fast back then,,, GREAT JOB COWBOY,, I really enjoy watching your runs
I beat this game back in 1986 took me about a month of playing it every damn day, and for this guy, beating the game in 12 minutes flat would be a disgrace.
Some people are just naturally gifted at these things. I use to play this game all the time when It came out as a kid. Played it for years everyday after school for like 3-5 hours a night. I never even beat the game. Still can't beat this game as an adult. And here this fucking guy is breezing through it like nothing. SKILLZ
9:25 so this is the spot where the Angry Video Nerd was raging about how insanely hard it is. Then Arcus just passes through this area like he's taking a stroll in the park. hahaha
I know of a secret to one of the Castlevania games from when I was a kid, I do NOT remember which game specifically it was, but if I remember correctly; in 1 of the games there is a secret path to the final boss of the game. Not sure if this is something the community knows about or not, but I have NEVER heard or read ANYWHERE else about this. Maybe this is well known, maybe it isn't, maybe it will change speedruns in the game (once it is found to be which game it is). Now, at the very start of the game, if you just go left or right (you much go the same direction the entire time without going the opposite direction) so many times, it will take you directly to the final boss of the game. I am almost positive this was a secret path to the final boss of 1 of the games. And I feel I remember it being 7 times (going 7 screens over in the same direction without going back the opposite direction). There is a slight chance it could have been for another game I played, but I am almost positive it is for Castlevania. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks all.
It's insane how there are only a few levels. Playing this game as a kid back in the 80's it seemed like double the amount. Wish I had known about strategies on how to defeat the bosses without much effort. Would've saved me a ton of time and a few heartaches. Then again maybe those challenges are part of the fun. I would've impressed my friends with those wizard techniques but the struggles built long lasting memories of my childhood I spent with my brother.

Even A Fraction-loss, Can Cause You To Undershoot, Or Bounce You Back To Same Spot, Or All Together Miss. > The Vampire Bat Bzzzzt...... This One's Tough. I See The Stairs As 0-1-2-3-And The Block As Stair Complete. This guy is a Nes Legend. Seen many of his vid's. He makes the games look easy.
Keep the Klunks coming!
This is the attitude required for nes speedruns - cool, calm precision. I rage and get way too punchy to ever be a speed runner.
@Mama's Little Man carsenagin hahahah
Just discovered your channel, and you're legit the most american guy i've ever seen. Love it !
On this guy's tombstone it's gonna say, "And... Klunk!"
"Good klunk" don't forget the second line!
Sqweesh for the Mario Games

Finally, I learnt that word.
no, because this guy will never die. he'll just skip the death animation with a glitch or something..
His laughter and excitement at the end of this run was genuinely wholesome!

i watch these things feeling very productive about my time
I've never seen a cowboy play so many video games. They're usually to busy drinking whiskey and listening to country music.
The "hit me so I can jump higher" move is sweet.
Simply, an amazing speed run... Keep up the good work, cowboy!
This guy bottles up all the emotions until the very last clunk. lol
Can anyone imagine this guy as AGENT 47..

I can beat this game in under a half-hour, but there are a lot of tricks revealed here that I didn't even know were possible!
I never managed to beat this, even though it was the first game I ever bought with my own money. Amazing.
My heart was POUNDING during the last battle. Awesome run!
Every single one of his videos someone says hes the bob ross of speedrunning

I love this guy's work. I'm glad he can make living this way.
I’m so worried that the next time my girlfriend and I are doing stuff I’m gonna say “and clonk” at the end
"Squeesh! Good squeesh..."
There's a strategy to getting fewer points it seems, so the end level tally takes less time. interesting.
I would just love to see an outtake compilation of all the screw ups.

I've been saying "aaaand klunk" a lot so now my kids are saying it haha 😂
Just subscribed yesterday. Really enjoying watching your runs.
GG! very cool watching someone be pro and very calm at the same time
I guess Paula Cole can rest easy now knowing all the cowboys didn’t disappear. They simply went inside to become retro-gaming masters.
And they say "Klonk" instead of "Doo-doodoo. Doo-doodoo. Doo-doodoo."
NO! NO! PUT THAT DOWN! You put Paula Cole back where you found her!
Practice practice practice. You practice until you get it right. Then you practice until you can't get it wrong.
Well done my gaming brother!
A real hero wears hat and mustaches ❤️
I need to try some of these techniques. He made that hall of doom look like a cake walk.
I don't know what that is but just from playing before i assume that's the pre grim reaper hallway?
Elias Akkerman yes, that’s correct.
Such determination. Good job, Arcus!

Arcus is from this era when video games was die and retry a lot....between 88 and 93.... 😢 i feel nostalgic.
Nice run! This was fun to watch!
Would love to see Arcus expand his gameplay to SNES and Genesis games.
I am new to the channel, but I find the "clunks" and "bzzs" so satisfying
This run is an amazing work of art
This guy was born to end NES games lives!!
One of the best vids on the internet ✨
This one was impressive...so much going on! I never watch speedruns but, hey, thanks man.
Do you use an emulator for this or hardware? WHat's the best NES emulator?
Konami and Capcom- best music in retro gaming and Sunsoft's "Batman". What an era!!
A lot of old games your character stays in the middle of the screen so everything is basically timed if you jump etc at just the right moment
That is some damn fine Castlevaniaing.
