I understand that Mr. Brittlestone unfortunately passed away a few years ago. I wonder how his hypothesis is fairing in 2019?

@@OdysseusUnboundFoundation OK, so this was 4 years ago, and I haven't heard anything more here in 2024.

Pure myth I would have been inclined to doubt anyway. Rather, I see the early Greek poems such as those of Homer as the reduction of a very old and rich oral tradition (comparable to the bardic tradition of the Celts) to writing. The stories may not have been all that accurate by modern historical standards, but they assuredly came from somewhere. They were highly unlikely to be made up, though they were undoubtedly embellished.

They found Troy, likely other locations exist. One thing is there was an Italian who wrote a book called the Baltic Origins of the Odyssey in which he mapped Odysseus' journey and it matched up with the Baltics.

Realy funny. at 7.20 those famous words about the filling: some time in the past. When dating is key it shows nothing is proven here yet and I must say I always am intrigued to see people who solve ancient mysteries with one simple stroke of genius, or better said, who think they solve it.
