Coming from sennheisers the velour pads are by far the one thing I miss the most. They are so damn comfortable and breathable on your head they’re a game changer tbh so i’ll def check those velour pads out
@@ryanhostudio Yes that's true - no I didn't mean that I chose either of them - both my Dekoni pairs for either cans came with my pre-owned purchase lol so I just use those, and no complaints with either. Can't go wrong with Dekonis. I just wish they'd be a bit cheaper - then maybe I'd buy on my own separately. Otherwise - hard to beat really, any variant.
They all seem little small for my ear. Do you have any experience/recommendation with Audeze like pads ? Those pads have really nice room feels like a sweet spot. Egg shape pads have too much room and ear slide. These have not enough room so bottom and top part of my ear rubs the pads. Audeze and Susvara pads seems just right. I also like Beyer pads. Beyer pads are small too but they are kinda curved so bottom and top part of my ear doesn't really rub. Actually HE6 OG pads looks like similar to Beyer pads. Curved velour. Maybe i should check those. This Sundara type of pads aren't curved, they have a sharp cut.
i only tried dekoni ones. Beyerdynamic are pretty small in my experience too. Best bet is still hifiman ananda or XS headphone instead since they are bigger
they all use similar memory foam, that is actually a little stiffer than the soft stock foam. But the pads are bigger and deeper than stock so more space for ears. The leather get hot because trap in air, while the hybrids/velours/leather fenestrated are more airy and breathable
I ordered hybrid earpads from brainwavz audio for my steelseries arctis 3, have I made a mistake? (I hope I didn’t cause I spent 22 euros cause of shipping)

most definitely
Thank very much for this video, it's really helpful ! I'll try the velour pads.
glad it helped!
Very helpful, and I agree with the findings as I have fenestrated for my Focal and the elite velours for my Hifiman - yes, that's a good pick alright!
yeah different headphones respond in different ways! I'm working on a beyerdynamic one right now as well

You didn't mention the comfort dimension.

no idea i haven’t tried brainwavz pads before
Defenestrated? Doesn't that mean throwing someone out a window? Lol
fenestrated?
There are no long vowels in "SUNDARA".
