You needed to put a treat in the prize egg so he had the scent to look for. I was hoping he would find the prize egg and donate it to the local Cat Cafe since he has everything a cat would ever want or need. I couldn't imagine what he would have bought.
I think you should put the egg on top of a treat, so he has a fair chance of sniffing it out? Or put it inside the egg, but leave the egg open so he has a chance of catching the scent?
