This is a fun and fantastic murder mystery show from Australia set in the 1920s. Staring Essie Davis and Nathan Page, this show is a high energy, binge-worthy adventure.
Highly worth a watch!

I watched the entire series. What there was of it. I just wish there had been Much More. The cast played so well throughout. Loved the costumes and the architecture too.

... and the books are even better. Actually, I listen to the audiobooks. Kerry Greenwood's works are so amazing and the narrator doesn't get in the way of my picturing Essie Davis as Phryne. The books aren't limited by budgets and sets so they are even more glamorous. Kerry Greenwood is such a talented author

I watched every episode several years back n savored every episode. Franny is just delicious in this role! Loved it n have watched many episodes again!!! It’s a must watch if you wan very clean comic sexual innuendos n adventurous! ❤❤❤
😢😂I love this show I wish it would be back on and the movie
This is a brilliant series, but way too short - only 3 seasons. Set in the Australian area of the 1920s, it is a joy to watch. Phrynie is very beautiful and extremely intuitive. Jack is very sexy but way too thin. He loves Phrynie but basically considers her as somewhat of a grownup "wild child." Dot is somewhat timid, but she always trusts her boss/friend to keep her safe. The wardrobe is really fabulous. And the rest of the cast is perfect! The series should have had a longer run, Murdoch Mysteries is still going with season 17. Enjoy this offering!!9

Io amo moltissimo pure i gialli,quindi ho visto tutta la serie e come tante altre serie mi è piaciuta moltissimo.Peccato che poi finiscono,senza fare nuovi episodi, comunque rivedo anche le repliche con piacere

I was so sad where this series was finished (axed?) as things were just getting interesting… The film was… well, pathetic- no insult to the wonderful actors but the script…oh dear, oh dear! I would have loved to see how the relationship between Jack and Phryne would play out, especially as Melbourne society and Constabulary seemed rather staid while new norms and morals were creeping in. The acting from all the actors was superb but the charisma between the two protagonists was breathtaking! Also, nobody has given credit to Phryne’s hairdresser - that was precision cutting! Also the casting director for his/her foresight and talent spotting. Any chance of another series - possible leading up to the next war…?
Love Phryne, the most modern woman ❤
