Stock splits are just an adjustment on the ratio. Rather than diluting the share, they just offer more at a lower price. It's not like what the feds do with the dollar.
Great video, the same thing happened to NVDA before the split it was above 1200+, so after the split it was around 129 witch is when i bought in at a small position, now i have doubled my profits hoping it get's back to 1200. Hope this info was helpful, i'm still learning the craft since i can't do it full time just yet..
Thanks for the info Bob! I have found that SCHD is always the basis of comparison when it comes to dividends ETFs. A strong contender for a dividend investors portfolio for sure.
I suppose the question is when you are ready to retire. When that time comes. The turn off drip to collect and hopefully that meets your criteria to retire or you can start to sell your stocks to fund your retirement.
Concerns about the split affecting the share price of SCHD are ridiculous. An ETF is not a stock. To demonstrate how irrelevant the share price of SCHD is, look at S&P500 index ETFs. There are many such ETFs invested in the exact same stocks, yet the different ETFs have different share prices. The ones with lower share price are literally no different from the ones with a high share price. The returns will be identical.
I think Schwab did this because you can't buy partial shares on their trading platform. Just a way of being attractive to smaller DCA investors without offering fractional shares trading.
Not to get political but would like to see just an analysis of the overall market trends and maybe specific sectors that do well/poorly leading up to or after an election. So we know what to expect in our portfolios and not get scared if a dip happens after the election or vice versa.
The only thing worse than a stock split is a *reverse* stock split. The latter is to artificially raise the price to keep it from being delisted because it's under $10/share.
Bottom line - supply of shares rose by 300% while the demand clearly, did not, unless SCHD is planning for such high demand in the future, but then why split, if there is demand for stock at its current price…
@@BobSharpe I do have a question tho, should I use Fidelity or M1 for Index Funds/ETFs and Stocks, and what about Crypto, should I use Bybit? Or Webull
Vote Trump if you care about keeping more of your money. Harris wants to tax unrealized gains and eliminate private healthcare while at the same time giving non legal migrants free healthcare.
The only way you should be worried about anything is a reverse split.
Agreed, the reverse screws you over.
I'm holding and purchased some SCHG shares at the reduced price.
And it’s going to get more cheap soon
So pumped you’re back man!

will SCHD shares goes back up to $70-80 price after the split?
SCHG vs QQQM

What is a good ETF to pair with SCHD if someone is thinking of investing long term?
Something more growth centered. Something like DGRO
What does everyone think about JEPI. The monthly dividends look good. Thinking about adding it to my portfolio.
Schd sounds like the noise you'd make if you tried really hard not to sneeze whilst sneezing 😂
😂😂😂😂
So what is the new dividends after split
How does this split affect the dividends?
divide by 3
Dividend should also be split. If it doesn't then there may be problems. If it remains the same then there will likely be NAV erosion.
The end result is no change.
What do you think about splg? Thanks
Get it i got it
Once you retire, how long do you let your ETF's DRIP? Do you then turn it off and take the payouts? or just keep building?
Good question
I think you turn the drip off and take the payments
I suppose the question is when you are ready to retire. When that time comes. The turn off drip to collect and hopefully that meets your criteria to retire or you can start to sell your stocks to fund your retirement.
Great question
Stop the drip. Never sell
Did the dividends per share drop because of the split?
Yes, its divided by 3

My account has yet to be credited for the dilution
Amazing Video!! I woke up to a bunch of shares and knew to come to you haha
It helped get me up to @30 shares! And being around $30 a share it’s gonna be easy to stack up!
Hey Bob what did you think about robinhood legends ? Is robinhood the best platform now ? New video idea..
I think Schwab did this because you can't buy partial shares on their trading platform. Just a way of being attractive to smaller DCA investors without offering fractional shares trading.
Do a video on QQQM, SCHD, & VOO in a portfolio
Bob do you do any degenerate stock trading? Do you play market movers?
Thanks Big Bob

The health of the economy drives the market not partisan. Long term the market can care less who is in office.
What about realty income??
O is good but it’s better just pick best etfs for more total growth
LLY!!

I’d be worried if it was a REVERSE SPLIT
I now have 30 shares. I think it will go up. Im just going to keep adding to it as i have

Bob PLEASE HELP, PLEASE HELP, PLEASE HELP.
What’s your advice on DJT.
We only have 21 days before elections.
Awesome vid btw. Keep em coming.

What advice are you seeking?
With trump losing. Don’t throw your money away.
@@null.ru.1337 Trump isn't losing unless we see cheating from the democrats
You mean Trump Media and Technology Group $DJT or Trump as a political candidate and or President?
RIP SCHD. SCHD is totally going to zero with all these stock splits.
Lol
