Heavy Rain In A Batman Inspired Gothic City Ambience | Heavy Rain Sounds For Relaxation | UE5 | 4K

- Escape the crazy world of today, and soak up the heavy rain and gritty atmosphere of this Dark Gothic City, this was inspired by The Batman movie that I saw recently, which I loved. So I decided that I really wanted to make my own version of Gotham City.
Part 2 of this scene will be coming once I have finished that version, which shouldn't be too long. I couldn't decided on what was best so I split this into two videos.
I hope that if you use this for sleeping that you can fall asleep fast!

This was rendered in Unreal Engine 5, this is using some City Sample assets, along with some @KitBash3D assets also, I made big changes and I stripped out everything and rebuilt this whole city from scratch. I also spent a lot of the time on composition, lighting, VFX and atmosphere, changing meshes or making my own versions of the materials so things were a little more unique to my scene. All the VFX were created either in @UnrealEngine 5, where I used the reeal time Fluid simulation to make steam,@jangafx Embergen, or After Effects with the help of some Action VFX assets. For this scene I used ACES Colour profile for the first time also. Something that you cannot see so easily in this Part 1 of 2 scenes, is the real time volumetric smoke, I generated my own fluid simulation and you can see it just above the domed structure in the middle of the screen, all of the other smoke was made by myself using Embergen and then imported into the scene. The animated Metahuman Billboard is made up of my own Metahuman characters that I generated, and my own facial animations captured within Unreal Engine 5, which I then exported out and then generated my own billboard commercial in Adobe Premiere. The other billboards commercials are also my own made up using templates from Premiere to give things a bit of varation. All the VFX are completely made entirely from scratch by myself apart from the @ActionVFXofficial assets that I used to make the splashes on the balcony in front of the camera, these were then intergrated into my scene using After Effects, I had a nifty little trick to get those splashes looking very real in my render, which happened by accident, but it worked out really well! The sounds used in this are a huge array of different sounds all sensitively put together to make an orchestra of Rain and City sounds. I hope that can help you relax, I'm not sure how well this could help you sleep, but if it can then that is great, this is made more to be an experience rather than a video to put you to sleep with.

It’s funny to think this is probably what Batman looks at most of the time when paroling the streets… wanna know what it REALLY feels like to be Batman? This is it, about 80% of the time, just sitting on a roof, waiting.
Lol Bruce Wayne doesn’t just sit and wait. He’s busy running Wayne enterprises, dating eligible bachelorettes and being rich. That’s what the Bat symbol and Alfred are for.

From what i read, bruce wayne as batman only sleeps like 2hrs at night to rest and another 2 hrs at day or more at day, talk about a bad sleep schedule all while exerting so much physical energy and taking a beating haha

Excellent work as usual - to give it a little more "Gothamy" angle you could have parted the buildings in the center with two or three cop cars cruising through with colored sirens and possibly one or two roving spot lights beaming up toward the sky. Still brilliant work.

Gotham city is my favourite city. Specifically Gotham from the earlier films. Feels somehow futuristic but also nostalgic.
*This is so beautiful sound and really giving peaceful feelings in my mind*
The funny part is that Batman has technology to make it rain all over Gotham, similar to Pain's Jutsu in Naruto. In TDKR3 he even rains liquid Kryptonite all over the city to disable the Kryptonians' powers. It would be interesting to see this in more stories, Batman acts only at night but if he makes it rain he blocks the sunlight and makes the city darker to make it easier for him to act.

This was so great! I'd love to see a version some day with more view of the streets/traffic.
I would love to see other DC and maybe even Marvel themed ambiance’s with universe locations. Like maybe Metropolis in the day, WW’s island, Atlantis, and so on. It could be very beautiful and relaxing

This is hands down the best rain video on the inter-webs! If I can make a suggestion, like you are sitting on a bench overlooking a peaceful English village on a dark grey rainy day with birds chirping, leaves rustling, rain belting it down with righteous fury hitting grass, stone and water from the pond. How peaceful would that be (just without the thunder as whenever there is a thunder strike hits it wakes me up). Anyway I’m looking forward to whatever you come up with.
