    Kind of ironic how I am talking about dialogue clarity in this video, but my main mic cut out half way through, after which my dialogue wasn't clear lol. Sorry about the second half of the audio on this video guys. I recorded the video while I was on days off, but edited it while I was up at work, so a reshoot wasn't an option. I did listen to part of the audio while I was home to make sure it was good, but I didn't listen to the second half unfortunately. I had to use the audio recorded by my camera that was 8 feet away.

    Drewl worthy. For some reason I love centers reviews. Probably because its such a challenge to find a good one unless you have an ats. I own so many centers I started using them for surround when I upgraded. As they say 85%ish of content goes through these so I find it to easily be the most important speaker even though its easily the most criticized speaker. Thanks for the video.

    • @SpecOfTech

      I can't really do a fair comparison, because with the Founders I was using a Founder 120H tower speaker as a center speaker. The 120H being a tower, was just more capable. That being said, the clarity on the CII on dialogue is better than the 120H, but not by a huge margin.

      Rumor, and measurements, have it that the Founder center channels have some issues this time around. Hopefully they will fix them with a newer version as the Founder 100s are excellent. Better imho, than the Sonnettos.

    I have Rythmik, Emotiva, Hsu and Rel subs throughout my home. However, I’m glad you have your JTRs back. I was wondering how you were going to adapt after having JTRs, Funk Audio and Harbottle down to the Paradigms. Those Paradigms you had can get loud and sorta low but the Funk Audio/Harbottle subs, plus the JTRs you had, and now have again; get low and play loud. Glad you’re back to your true love. In my opinion, no such thing as too much, especially when you can adjust and feed them with nice input, which you have. Enjoy - again!

    how would you compare these to the paradigm founder series that you had? You go through a lot of speakers. Have you considered getting a ranking chart like they had on Top Gear for fastest lap times?

    • @SpecOfTech
      @SpecOfTech  Рік тому +1

      That wouldn't be a bad idea to rank the speakers I have had come through my space.
      Their sound signatures go in different directions. The Founders are a warmer speaker, that are more rich and much better bass. The Sonetto's lean more on the cool side of neutral, are more detailed with less warmth and bass. It depends on your personal preference for sound. Personally, I would say overall, I prefer the Founders. In my opinion, the Founders are the better value. The 120H are similarly priced to the Sonetto's, but they have built in amplification, MUCH more capable bass, more robust build (materials used), better looking (subjectively) and still sound amazing.

    You sound like you are in the movie Aquaman! 😂 Great video, I really like that center! I have the C1, it is much smaller, and looses the two outside mid bass drivers. For what it is I am totally happy with how it sounds, and half the price! But, there are times I wish I had gone with the C2, like what you describe , it is really natural sounding, which brings a "real" feeling to movies. Isn't that the end goal?

    • @SpecOfTech
      @SpecOfTech  Рік тому

      Lol, it would probably sound better if I was under water. How do you find the dialogue on the C1?

    • @Johnnytrades101
      @Johnnytrades101 Рік тому +1

      @@SpecOfTech Well, firstly it is a lot smaller, so it is somewhat limited with dynamics, dialogue is great, well defined, clear, the Sonus Faber midrange is amazing. It doesn't reach down nearly as low as the C2, but Dirac helps with that. As I said, the biggest difference is the output, bombastic dynamic scenes are less impactful. The center handles a lot of content. Quality matters. I don't listen at really loud levels, and it fits in my set up better (smaller). It is awesome for what it is👍👍

    This is crazy! Not sure what's happening.. So I'm watching on my IPhone, connected by Apple dongle to Focal Celeste headphones. Very basic connection. Listening to the main video is normal but once you start the demo my headphones are absolutely disappearing and the audio seems like it's coming from the IPhone. It's amazing actually. I mean 'headphones'. It's like they're not even there. Maybe it's your microphone? I haven't noticed it quite like this before with your other videos. I'll have to go rewatch them now to see. OK.. maybe I'm just odd. Anyway, love your videos. Thanks for all of your efforts.

    • @SpecOfTech
      @SpecOfTech  Рік тому

      The 2 are very close in low end output, but in the higher frequencies the RS2 has more. Given the savings going to the CAP2400, I am very happy with them. The one downside to the CAP2400, if you push them they do have port noise. These things push some serious air lol. Chances are, other than the opening scene of Edge of Tomorrow, you won’t ever experience port noise. That is one nice thing about the sealed versions, never any port noise, just clean bass. For that reason, I am starting to lean toward sealed subwoofers again.

    • @SpecOfTech
      @SpecOfTech  Рік тому +1

      I think the L400 would give it a run for its money in performance vs cost, but I would have to give the clarity to the CII. I have the R200's, and they are phenomenal speakers, but clarity isn't their strong suit. That isn't to say they are clear, it just isn't what they are known for. They are known for being a great performer and fantastic "all arounder".
      With that said, I would like to compare the CII to the L400 if possible in the future.

    • @gaurd3
      @gaurd3 Рік тому +1

      @@SpecOfTech I hope you get the chance too. While they are the same line the speakers in the l200 are different and the l400 is a 3 way Vs a 2 way. I think they are way underrated because it’s “Polk” And at 1550 when it goes on sale it’s a steal for the performance.
