The other S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s had crosshairs too but they were minimalistic which I prefer more also

Stalker 2 does look hot and interesting but I have a few gripes with it:
(most of these points will be related to the preorder bonuses you get for, obviously, preordering it)
    1. 2 Story Expansions. This is a big hit or miss and we'll see how it is. If a lot of the more important stuff is locked behind the DLCs then it's 100% a big negative.
    2. the Season Pass which states it will give access to DLCs. What? I don't really understand this thing. Does it just give access to extra DLCs or is GSC adding a seasons thing like fortnite or smth?
These 2 points just sum up to DLCs, which, tbf the devs do deserve some extra money for the good looking work, can be a big negative depending on how much content is locked behind them.
    3. Skins. Why? I know they are trying to add multiplayer, but seriously?
    4. From the game footage the game seems a little bit easy. Stalker isn't really THAT difficult, but the trailers make it look much easier than the previous games.
I'm somewhat afraid that the game might become AAA slop, like all modern games. Skin cases, Season passes, lots of content locked behind DLCs and the main character becoming too OP.

Oh i definitely agree for the first 2 reasons but i try to be optimistic about those things, metro has some story expansions too and while they're not all hits they usually adds something interesting to the lore (except for most the factions dlc in metro last light where only the rangers kshatriya was really good), and yes the season pass is a bit dire but we just have to wait and see what stuff they lock up behind it but i do have to say that if the main game is already excellent, I'll be satisfied.
For the 3rd point, yeah but what really can you add for cheap when you have a multiplayer component (i don't get the skins for the single player game though), i mean the answer is probably just don't add it but you know they have to do it lol. I do hope that if they want to make the multiplayer more of a thing they make it more expansive and interesting than the very barebones multiplayer of the originals but of course the single player component should always comes first.
For the 4th point, i think that's a difficulty setting thing while i do hope they'll give us just one difficulty setting the way the developers intend the difficulty to be but realistically it's probably the same old difficulty select thing, i hope they'll allow us to modify the difficulty with presets just like what pathologic 2 did, so we can tailor made the difficulty to give us the best stalker experience as possible. (If all fails, let mods do the work I HOPE IT DOESN'T COME TO THIS THOUGH)

It looks like a decent story driven game with good animations but it does not look like a good stalker game

We'll just have to wait and see, stalker games aren't usually marketed greatly because those trailers for the old games does look kinda rough and these trailers for stalker 2 while it doesn't have the charm/jank that the old trailers have, makes for a better marketing campaign to attract new stalkers into the zone

The healing animation doesn't sit well with me either, though any gripes we have with the game, can be rectified with mods. Which the team has assured us, there will be plenty of support for.

in my opinion i think its gonna be more focused on story rather than exploring the zone and grinding wish im not against but i think its gonna die fast after completing the story u wont have a lot to do because theyll probably be focusing in storyline and not adding enough weapons artifacts quests again in my opinion

Base game yeah, it should be story and environment building, the original story games were like that and were all good. But they are adding modding support

    • @indoughgaming3380

I think that there would be plenty to explore considering that they've already said that they're combining the old maps into one giant open world map, but there's definitely an emphasis on the cinematics on the trailers which i hope won't be too intrusive and stays true to the spirit of stalker

@@iccreampig1424 the original games rewarded cautious exploration and the levels were extremely open. Most of this looks linear with the odd large field or city block

    • @indoughgaming3380
      @indoughgaming3380  9 днів тому +1

Cautious exploration yes but extremely open not necessarily so, there's a lot of areas that in the old stalker games that limits or funnels your exploration with things like radiation or hostile anomalies, only in call of pripyat that the areas have become far more open (not counting the swamp from clear sky which can be visited in stalker 2) and stalker 2 seems to be going that way which is a good thing but we'll have to wait and see
